Hardest Parenting Moment

I guess mine would be having to tell my children that the state wasn't going to let them come home after 8 months of being in a children's home, because their mother relapsed. Back on track though.

Sinking Fast
|
|
Theirs a pediatrician, a lawyer, and a priest. There all on the Titanic as it begins to sink. The pediatrician yells, "Oh My God ,save the children." The lawyer yells, "F--- the children", And the priest says, "Do you think we have time?" Sorry people. Someone just told me that and I had to share. Nothing personal to any lawyers out there.

If I had my children to raise all over again,
I'd finger-paint more and point the finger less. I'd do less correcting and more connecting. I'd take my eyes off my watch, and watch with my eyes. I would care to know less and know to care more. I'd take more hikes and fly more kites. I'd run through more fields and gaze at more stars. I'd do more huggung and less tugging. I would be firm less often, and affirm much more. I'd build self-esteem first, and the house later. I'd teach less about the love of power, and more about the power of love. Answer your question? |

On Love
The day will come when, after harnessing space, the winds, the tides and gravitation, we shall harness for the Gods the energies of love. And on that day, for the second time in the history of the world, we shall have discovered fire. |

Michael,
You leave me speechless with your words at times. You have a dream inside all of those wonderful rhymes: LIVE YOUR DREAM. Because people who say it cannot be done should not interrupt those who are doing it. Ya Wanta Get Married? |

A Sense of a Goose
|
|
Next fall when you see geese heading south for the winter, flying
along in "V" formation, you might consider what science has discovered as to why they fly that way. As each bird flaps its wings, it creates an uplift for the bird immediately following. By flying in "V" formation, the whole flock adds at least 71percent greater flying range than if each bird flew on its own. --People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going more quickly and easily, because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.-- When a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to go it alone_and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the lifting power of the bird in front. --If we have as much sense as a goose, we will stay in formation with those people who are headed the same way we are.- When the head goose gets tired, it rotates back in the wing and another goose flie point. --It is sensible to take turns doing demanding jobs, whether with people or with geese flying south.-- Geese honk from behind to encourage those up front to keep up their speed. --What messages do we give when we honk from behind?-- Finally_and this is important_when a goose gets sick or is wounded by gunshot, and falls out of formation, two other geese fall out with that goose and follow it down to lend help and protection. They stay with the fallen goose until it is able to fly or until it dies; and only then do they launch out on their own, or with another formation to catch up with their group. --If we have the sense of a goose, we will stand by each other like that.-- |

I'll tell you WTF BEEOCH: After a while you learn the subtle
difference between holding a hand and chaining a soul, And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning and company doesn't mean security. And you begin to learn that kisses aren't contracts and presents aren't promises, And you begin to accept your defeats with your head up and your eyes open, with the grace of an adult, not the grief of a child. And you learn to build all your roads on today because tomorrow's ground is too uncertain for plans. After awhile you learn that even sunshine burns if you get too much. So plant your own garden and decorate your own soul, instaed of waiting for someone to bring you flowers. And learn that you really can endure.... That you really are stong, And you really do have worth. |

What in the Hell is up with most of you. Do you want to just **** around
or are you looking for a relationship. Or are "Ya Sceeired"? And that goes for most of you woman out there as well. What the ****>? **** or get off the "pot". I'm sorry guys and gals but stop being afraid to be your true selves. When you know, you know. Pick up a phone, give them your address, somethin. Hell, if their a nut ****in shoot their ass. You only live once, in this sphere anyway............ A traveler nearing a great city asked a woman seated by the wayside, "What are the people like in the city?" "How were the people where you came from?' "A terrible lot," the traveler responded. "Mean, untrustworthy, detestable in all repects." "Ah," said the woman, "you will find them the same in the city ahead." Scarecely was the first traveler gone when another one stopped and also inquired about the people in the city before him. Again the old woman asked about the people in the place where the traveler had come from. "They were fine people; honest, industrious, and generous to a fault. I was sorry to leave," declared the second traveler. Responded the wise woman. "So you will find them in the city ahead." |

A MATTER OF ATTITUDE
|
|
The greatest discovery of my generation is that human beings can alter
their lives by altering their attitudes of mind. The longer I live, The more I realize The impact of attitude on life. Attiude, to me, is more important than FACTS. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day Regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. WE CANNOT CHANGE OUR PAST...WE CANNOT CHANGE THE FACT THAT PEOPLE WILL ACT IN A CERTAIN WAY. WE CANNOT CHANGE THE INEVITABLE. The only thing that we can do is play on the one string we have AND THAT IS OUR ATTITUDE... I AM CONVINCED THAT LIFE IS 10% WHAT HAPPENS TO ME AND 90% HOW I REACT TO IT. AND SO IT IS WIH YOU. |

Phenomenal Woman
|
|
Pretty woman wonder where my secret lies.
I'm not cute or built to suit a fashion model's size But when I start to tell them, They think I'm telling lies. I say, It's in the reach of my arms, The span of my hips, The stride of my step, The curl of my lips. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. I walk into a room Just as cool as you please, And to a man, The fellows stand or Fall down on their knees. Then they swarm around me, A hive of honey bees. I say, It's the fire in my eyes, And the flash of my teeth, The swing in my waist, And the joy in my feet. I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Men themselves have wondered What they see in me. They try so much But they can't touch My inner mystery. When I try to show them They say they can't see. I say, It's in the arch of my back, The sun of my smile, The ride of my breasts, The grace of my style. I'm a Woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal woman, That's me. Now you understand Just why my heads not bowed. I don't shout or jump about Or have to talk real loud. When you see me passing It ought to make you proud. I say, It's in the click of my heels, The bend of my hair, The palm of my hand, The need for my care. 'Cause I'm a woman Phenomenally. Phenomenal Woman, That's me. M.A. |
