Germany played really good and they deserve to win, however the 2nd english Goal had it been counted might have changed the stratagy, confidence and the outcome.

To the US Players: Good job, and Good run. You won the group, which you weren't expected to do, no turn your focus to 2014, and let's prepare to Own the cup then. To Ghana: I expect World Cup athletes to play with class. Apparently that was too much to ask of you, as you continually found the ground without assistance in Extra Time. it's not a good day for US, but I am pourd of our guys and their effort..... they kept trying to the end. I was really hoping to see them in the finals... maybe hold the cup. We do have the talent in some areas to compete (we did beat the World #1 team in the Confederation Cup last year) But with the defense we had at the Cup, the Top teams would have eaten us alive. If we can get more consistent on defense, and keep improving everywhere else on the pitch as well, there is no reason why we shouldn't be talking about as a likely Cup winner in 4 years. the team is definately better... but to wait another 4 year, that's a long time. |

I am in the same situation, there is not going back.
at this point I am just waiting to finalize divorce... but I am not pushing to get someone in my life any more. seperation is always a red flag... so many people got involved with a sperated person and ended up getting hurt. |

Brazil and Portugal tie nil-nil Bradley comes out with an outrageous suggestion: PUT AN END TO THE RIDICULOUS INJURY FAKING AND DIVING!!! IT IS AN INSULT TO THE SPORT. NO WAY KAKA SHOULD BE OUT!! He is SO right on this.

I went up to the grocery store earlier today to pick up a few items. I had my hair pulled back in a ponytail. As I was bent over to get a thing of sour cream I hear this man behind me say "Damn honey is there anything I can help you with?". As I turned around and he saw I had a goatee he turned flush red and all he said was "Oh ****". I thought the lady next to me was going to pee down her leg......

USA ~ Ghana coming up on Saturday! Germany just beat them, they will be playing England on Sunday! That's gonna be a historic playoff! My bets are on the Germans! Don't know about USA , they got a tough team to face (Ghana)..I got mixed feelings about it. US is a strong team, they tied England, they should've won their 2nd game, and they should've one against algeria 2-0. I think this win is going to give them a boost of confidence and I hope it will carry them to the final. GO USA !!!! |

They say soccer (oh sorry football) is the most popular game in the world. I would argue that its Tag! Or maybe Hide and Seek .. but still you dont see World Tag tournaments ... although it might be more exciting and definitely WOULDNT END IN A TIE!! Tag or hide and go seek are not even close, some part of the world breathe soccer from the 4 years old kids to the 60 years old. you have to play the game to enjoy watching it.... I did not play baseball in my childhood, today I still think it's the most boring thing ever to watch.... but had i played it, my views would've been different. |

Ivory Coast was surprisingly strong against Brazil, but couldn't keep up with the Brazilian onslaught. Onslaught??? all the brazilians had to do was zamba that ball around a bit and find Ivories weak spots. Ivory Coast put no pressure on the brazilans as far as I saw....... 
Ivory Coast has good strong players...... they could of brough alot more to that field......
Putting pressure on Brazil is easier said than done... that's why they're then number 1 team in the world. although they won, but I still miss the old brazillian style. Oh Coooooome on!!!!! Let me put it this way, you about ready to box the world champion boxer, you train for 4 years, you gonna whimper out and stay in your corner or go out fighting? Neither the Koreans nor the Ivories went out there to win, they went to defend a 0-0, with the Koreans playing 8 defense hanging on the goal posts and the Ivories with an off chance to make a lucky long shot in the game. The brazilans are winning these matches without so much as a hair getting outta place and a few fancy foot twirls, that I hope they trip on one of these days for being such show offs......Im waiting to see a team play against them that aren´t afraid of them. And if they win its because they are indeed the best and they showing it. 
don't hate Brazil because they are Good!!, enjoy watching the magical touches and the fancy foot works. congrats to Argentina, was a good game to watch. |

this morning I was pulling into a gas station when I saw a lady in her 80s with a walker struggling trying to put Gas in her Car… so I stopped and offered my help, poor lady couldn’t even scan her card… while I was fueling for her and talking with her, In the corner of my eye I saw movement inside the car, so I looked, I saw 2 females and one male in their early 20s in the car, maybe her Grandkids, I was shocked to see that neither one of them had the decency to get t off their *** and help her. Whatever happens to Respect and care for your elders? Perhaps Granny would not want them to.....fierce independent women of every generation do their own thing, even if it takes half a day to do an hour's job... Sometimes by allowing an Elder to do what they choose to for themselves IS being respectful....you have seen a two second soundbite into someone's life, and come up with a whole heap of assumptions. My eldest son of 25, and all his mates, wouldn't DARE do it for me, irrespective of how much I am struggling...they know to wait until I ask for help...no-one likes being patronised. This poor lady wasn't able to swipe her card to start the pump... when I offered my help, she didn't decline, she was grateful. the least one of them could've done is to get out of the car and and stand with her. |
