Loved Godfather Trilogy. Also Carlito's Way, Goodfella's, Prizzi's Honor, Scarface, Sopranos series, and anything mobster related. ![]() Have you seen Once Upon A Time In America? It's from early 80s and follows kids to adult into their gangster life. Robert DeNiro and James Woods star in it. Seems long and drawn out at first but it's a great movie. A young Jennifer Connelly is in it too. No, Rj, but thanks because I just happen to be ready to get on my favorite free link and watch a good movie tonight! Thank you! ![]() No problem. ![]() I have it on dvd and will probably watch it sometime soon since I brought it up, heh. 2:27am here and to tired to start it now, haha. Enjoy! |

I think she may have signed off... Let's hope the guy didn't look to see what she was chatting about on here. that would really suck.... From another site...I convinced a friend to drive to virginia...to get a abuse woman......bad shape....alot of the abuse was from the site... With my mouth and passion...I got permenantly band from the site... But I helped another female in distress.... I'd say getting banned was definitely worth it since you at least got to help a victim of abuse. |

I loved it. I love mobsters movies in general. I think Goodfellas was my favorite. Ever watch old gangster movies from the 30s-40s? Like James Cagney in "The Public Enemy,""The Roaring Twenties," and Edward G. Robinson in "Little Ceasar" and Paul Muni in the original "Scarface" from 1931? Also Cagney in "White Heat" from 1949 where he says,"Made it ma! Top of the world!" I love those old movies as much as the mobster/gangster movies of today. |

Is he bipolar? From what you said about how he is yelling at you one sec and sobbing for you to stay..maybe he needs medication or therapy. Has he been like this the whole time you've been friends? Sorry if you answered that to someone already, i haven't read all posts.

There is some valid advice about verbal abuse possibly turning to physical abuse from those two. He may be conflicted about forgiving his family for what they did to screw him over as one reason he's like that, but again, not an excuse to treat you that way. You more than likely should move out if you have the option, and try to make it where you can still attend school if possible as you said home is 100 miles away. Any other roommate possibles at school?Dorm room maybe? Rather you be safe more than anything, it would just kinda be lame that you'd possibly have problems staying at that school because of his actions. Did you ever talk about why he treats you that way with him? I have a friend going through a similiar thing like you, and she had a talk with him tonight about it. Maybe he doesn't realize how mean he is? Hard to say as I don't know what he says and what provokes/antagonizes him to speak to you that way. In short, definitely do what keeps you safe. Could you ask your friend how she started this kind of converstaion? I rarely take the lead in anything we talk about and this time I need to be the one talking and he needs to shut up and listen. How do I make that happen while being respectful? As for other housing, there arent really any other options besides moving home, and that cant happen because of, well thats another story :) Will ask her tomorrow about it. I gave her advice on how to handle it, from a guys point of view. |

Has he had alot of stress during the time he became hurtful? School subjects become a little more difficult? Not that it is an excuse to treat you that way, I just like to try to analyze situations to see what may be the cause, and then work with that on how to remedy the situation. sorry, this was actually supposed to go to you He has an unbelievable amount of stress with family. school has been an excape as have I.. being that Im involved only to the point of being a shoulder to lean on when he needs someone to carry him through. I get that we all have our hard times, he was there for me during the roughest parts of my life. But now all the drama he went through is over. I asked him to respect my wishes that I dont want to be involved with his family and he doesnt like that. His family has done a lot for me, but they also have royally screwed him over and Im not okay with how they treat him, and how they reacted to the situation. Sorry for rambling about this, Im just so frustrated about one particular situation that was resolved about 2 weeks ago. You hear someone complain and grieve over how hurt they are but the instant the person apologizes they go back to being best friends. Its just annoying. I might be overreacting but Ive seen this kid go through so much **** with all of his family members, for him to forgive so easily bothers me, and Im not hiding it from anyone. No problem, I figured that when you talked about the stress he has, etc. ![]() ![]() |

Sounds like he has lived the cycle of abuse also. So to him it might be normal. And stress is no excuse for a reason to treat another person abusivly. Good point. It could be natural to him from being treated like that while growing up. |

And of course, the ignorance associated with using the "Fiery Cross". DumbAZZs! http://www.cranntara.org.uk/crannta.htm “Crann Tara” translated means “Fiery Cross” its reason for existance was communication between the clans. Here is a short history of how it came to be, and its amazing significance to the Scots as a nation. And the roots of the swastika the nazis use has origins in budism, hindu, etc...i was watching an old ninja movie and the main enemy had a swastika on his clothes...it is a symbol that means "eternity" to some. So there main symbol has origins in the far east..hmm..people they are prejudice against now...also, wasn't Japan allies with Germany in WWII? Heh.. Edit: I just looked on wikipedia and it says the nazis claimed that the early aryans of India, from whos Verdic tradition the swastika sprang, were the prototypical white invaders. First I've read of this. I assumed it was more associated with the other cultures and was cultivated from there. But still they forever corrupted a symbol that meant more pure and positive meanings. |

HEY! While everybody's enjoying their daily spoogefest over the Klan, how 'bout a li'l shoutout to a REAL Klansman who's IN THE SENATE right now ... ? HE's making LAWS ... ! I'm talkin' about givin' a big 'Howdy!' to none other than LIttle Bobby Byrd ... that's right, folks, 'Sheets' Byrd - the man famous for giving us 'Byrd Droppings' ... and let's not forget that the Klan was FOUNDED in INDIANA by DEMOCRATS. One more 'benefit' from the War of Northern Aggression. Do your research ... I've always seen that the Klan was started in Pawlasky, Tennesee by confederates after the civil war. Never hard of it starting in Indiana. It wasn't designated to be what it is today though apparently, it was just a club and they wore the costumes to disguise who the membrs were when they did things in public view. History channel is a good channel to watch. ![]() On a side note, I really hate when people think all skinheads are racists. The original skinheads were proud of their working class background and never associated with racism. Nazi skinheads tainted the view on skinheads and when watching the media or documentary shows whete they say "skinheads" instead of "nazi skinheads" it annoys me when they clump them in one group. Also there is a faction of skinheads called S.H.A.R.P.S. (skinheads against racial prejudice), who are just as bad as nazi skinheads when it comes to violence. My friends I've known were "trads" aka "traditional skinheads." Check out a band called Symarip who were the first band to start the "skinhead reggae" genre back @1969. They have a song called, "Skinhead Moonstomp" which is there most known track. Another thing about that group, they're all black men. Had to put my 2 cents in about not liking nazi skins being grouped with trad skins...the klan also likes to recruit nazi skins to do there violence for them at times, so it kind of fits with the topic of this thread in that respect. |

Love it! Part 2 I consider my favorite of the trilogy, part 3 I could never finish watching. But when I think about it more, I believe I love 1 & 2 the same. Part 2 with the showing of the present and beginning of the Corleone family made it my fav for years, but the first one with Vito, Sonny, and Michael making his transition from war hero to a godfather...good stuff. I love it in the first one when Micheal tells Carlo that he has to answer for Santino. One of my favorite scenes.

I could never finish watching Godfather 3. The Larry Clark film "Wassup Rockers" is horrible, the acting is the worst. Also the movie Biodome...Pauly Shore is overrated. That horror movie Boogey Man, as well as the remake of Amittyville Horror...I'm sure there are more..just going to name movies I have seen or tried to watch.
