I've found in atleast my job (I wouldn't call it highly skilled but it does require a lot of training) the boss' have no idea what they are talking about and only have degree's in business and not what we do as a service. They are more or less bean counters and don't understand what goes in to my job they just want the numbers to come out they way they should.

Politics is something I really wish I understood better but I was once told that the current president (at any given time) is either benefitting from the last president or being hindered by the last president. Being that it usually takes more than 4 years for what the president has changed to start to be seen in our economy. Any truth to that?

Most people are unhappy with their lives for a simple fact they don't understand themselves. They believe the world is a one way path everything that happens to them is already set in stone. That they were dealt a bad hand or were born unlucky. They never sit back and rationalize before hand that every decision they make impacts what is going to happen to them in their long term and immediate future. Once you understand this and have the ability to assess all plausible outcomes of even the smallest of desicions you make you start to see how you can change your future in to whatever you want it to be. Not saying if you make all good decisions you will be the next Anne Hathaway or George Clooney but you can make life easier and happier for yourself.

The only thing that matters is you are happy with yourself and about yourself. I was making a very vague point as to people happiness in general. It sounds like you know yourself well and are happy where you are at in life now so I would say keep doing whatever makes you feel this way. And for my age don't judge a book by its cover I made numerous bad decisions in my life I finally decided to listen to everyone around me who was much older than me and came to the notion that I really didn't know **** and to just follow what people who were much older than me were telling me. I maybe 28 but the majority of my friends consist of people well in to their 50's and try to mold myself around their wisom.

I agree with cheer up you need to cite these studies because even you admit they contradict each other and it sounds like you are taking bits and pieces of them. If they were both read in there entirety I'm sure you will find reasons as to why they are so different ( age demographic, social differences, economic, etc.) Love, lust, attraction is all dealt with in the brain even though everyone wants to say its in the heart. All those feelings are manifested from different levels of dopamine and seratonine in the brain. Different things trigger these responses from the brain which leads me to agree with Josie as children we are raised around certain things, types of people, and how we viewed them as children as our brains were developing and traits were being learned is how our brains react with the release of dopamine and seratonine as adults.

haha ight ill explain a little more.

you said my second question was not related to the first. Being you are not putting the theories of existance in to perspective.

you said "In short, you exist because I think you do. I exist because you acknowledge me." My question pertaining to the mentally ill patient and the child they both acknowledge the "person" they communicate with and if they acknowledge that "person" and being that they continue to correspond with the "person" that "person" must acknowledge them. So with your answer you have just unitentionally acknowledged you now accept the fact that the "imaginary friend" does exist. So using the commonly used definition of what exists (that of which consists of matter or energy) we can relate an imaginary friend to air because we both now agree they exist.

So my point if you were to say no you do not believe in the child's friend but you believe in air you would be breaking the laws you have just defined as having to prove something exists that you can not taste, touch, hear, smell or see. And no you can not hear air you hear wind, rustling of trees, whatever it is moving against. No you can not feel air when you breathe you are feeling the muscles in you chest expanding, or wind against your skin (which is a reaction of the nervous system to stimuli against your skin). You can not taste air or smell air nor see air.
