On Wednesday morning a Coast Guard helicopter crashed outside LaPush, Washington killing 3 of the 4 crew members, the surviving crew member is in the hospital. The helicopter was apparently flying from Oregon to Alaska and clipped some power lines outside LaPush and went into the ocean.
All these men left behind children and families. Please keep their families in your thoughts and prayers. |

Don't give up, Ken. I know many people diagnosed with bipolar disorder who are married or in relationships and they are making it work. It is really hard, of course. It is hard for everyone.
I haven't been on much in the past months, just check in now and then. Was thinking about this thread and all of you just the other day. I hope you are all well. Stay around Ken and talk to people, don't isolate yourself. Take care of yourself and hope you all have a great weekend. |

Yesterday was the 3rd anniversary of my middle brother's death. If you had ever met him, you would have known he had a heart as big as the outdoors and would have given you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He was a really big guy, 6'6", and looked like a rugged mountain man most of the time, long straggly hair and scruffy bear, but really just a big teddy bear. He was taken way too soon, at 55 years of age. If you get the chance, raise your Pepsi, coffee, tea or whatever your favorite beverage is and and take a drink for "Moose." (No one ever called him by his real name.) Thanks much. Take care. She told me of the bond you both always shared, she told me of that special way, YOU really cared. PLEASE do me a favor man from up there in Heaven's HOME, always let your Sis know, she's never really alone..SHE misses you all the time and feels your talks still in her heart. Let her know that you two never did really part. HERES to seeing you there when its my time to be called. And YOU left here a very WELL LOVED MAN. I LOVE YOU linda,,,,,,, As he did as well... Thank you Terry. We did talk about Rick (Moose) quite a bit. He will always be missed, left big shoes that will never be filled. My granddaughter was 7 when he died and she remembers her "big uncle" and talks about him even though she only saw him a few times. Thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. Moose would be honored. |

My "friend" is about 2-1/2 years younger than me. He met my grandkids for the first time a couple of months ago.
My granddaughter who is 10 y/o said "he looks young." The next day, my grandson who is 5 y/o called him "my dad." Oopsie!!!! We got a laugh out of it. |

I was more of a loner and tried to stay invisible, but I guess this qualifies.
Our school bus driver used to have the kids who were younger and more out of control sit with the older kids to make them calm down (at least that was the driver's theory). He used to make this one little kid sit with me every once in awhile, he wasn't a bad kid, really just wanted attention, but he would get on my nerves sometimes so one day I told him I was a witch and would turn him into a frog if he didn't stop what he was doing. He didn't believe me at first but after telling him the story a few times, he finally did believe me. He calmed down and decided I was okay I guess, because then he would come and sit with me whenever there was an empty seat by me (hmmmmm, guess it backfired on me??). |
