I will never understand that kind of behavior, but I know it exists.

Not too long after I first signed up, I tried e-mailing a few of the locals who were traipsing through my "People You Might Be Interested In," basically just trying to welcome them to the site, and get some sort of dialogue going.

Not one ever bothered to reply.

I really don't think the problem was with my e-mails -- I've written two books, and most people seem to think my writing and communications skills are pretty decent, so....?

My own policy is to write everybody back -- unless it's a scammer or a spammer or some obvious nutball whackjob (which have been few and far between on this site!)

Non-refundable tickets are MUCH more expensive, so I doubt she got one. However, most airlines will issue you a voucher at no charge if you need to cancel a non-refundable ticket.

i didnt think any plane tickets were refunable
i do know if your late catching your schedule time (and miss it)you have to pay extra
