Ironically, they'll withhold information such as the results of a drug test, yet turn around and blame "bad parenting" should the child do something against the law.

I would agree with the father...I'd want to know if my teen was doing drugs. Googled the issue, however, and came up with this.

According to an article about HIPAA and teens' right to privacy: minors will only control their medical records when states explicitly authorize them to do so. When state law either requires or permits disclosure to parents, the regulation allows the health care provider to comply with that law. But when a state is silent on the subject (as most of them now are), it is up to the health care provider to decide whether to maintain the confidentiality of those medical records or disclose them to a parent requesting access to those records.

The only noted exception is a state by state requirement regarding abortions.

That no matter what you do some nutjob will be alarmed by it or offended by it.

I'm probably going to stir a hornets' nest here, but eh.

Rational argument could be that if the woman objected that much to the uniform, she could send her daughter elsewhere for an education. However, if that is not an option, then.....

Why is she a "nutjob" for her beliefs? Yes, it's just a shirt, but classifying her as crazy for it seems a bit extreme to me. After all, the words "under God" in the Pledge are just two words, yet they continually come up in arguments about keeping church and state separate. Rather than being content to simply instruct their children to not say those two words, people use it to grandstand against religion (or even the hint of religion) being present in schools.

If people have the right NOT to practice any hint of religious beliefs, then why wouldn't the opposite hold true, especially regarding something as innocuous as allowing a child to leave her shirt untucked?

(((((((((:heart:Kiena:heart:))))))))))

Does anyone here remember when you too, were in love....

in that very first relationship....

and then when you asked for help ....

you too were just bombarded with advice.......

with no compassion showing whatsoever?

Remember?

I too made my mistakes with bad relationships when I was young. And looking back, I would have much rather had someone hit me between the eyes with the truth and hurt me short term than "enable" me with sympathy and let me stay in a dysfunctional situation.

Me thinks the program may be backwards compatible but not forward compatible... IE. you saved it from school as a 2003 and tried to open it at home with a 2007 version... and while you used a 2007 to create it and saved it as a 2003, the actual 2003 at your school was not "miming" 2003 but an actual 2003, ergo saving it with only actual 2003 traits with no forward compatability to open in 2007... confused? So am I...

Ask your instructor at school for a more consice response...

Actually, it's backwards and forwards compatible. Well, technically it's supposed to be. PPT has the most issues with going between versions out of all of the office suite products.

Check the master layout - sometimes when going back and forth between 2003 and 2007, the master slide link to the layout gets broken, which reverts the presentation back to the blank layout. You may have to reapply the layout, and it should recover.

Worked for a company that used LoJack, because some of their data was military related. They had a 90% recovery rate on stolen laptops, so I'd say it was worth the money for them, at least.

Doesn't want sex with you + disappears with ex for 12 hours = ?

I'm horrible at math, but even I can do those numbers. Is being in a so-called relationships and therefore not alone really worth sacrificing your self respect?

It's been a long time since I was 16, but......

Maybe she was afraid that if she called, you'd say no, and she'd have to hear you say no. Maybe the text was her way of feeling out the situation, so to speak?

Hello and welcome

No, if you add someone as a favorite, they get a notification.

As to the rest, that's too much math for me.

Somehow the nice guy threads are even lower on the totem.

Well of course they are - they always finish last, remember? *grins*

Maybe I should have taken my shirt off first, then posted a nice guy thread, then a "Hey, Look at Me" thread.

And then you could go equal opportunity, and post a thread (using the shirtless photo as your main profile pic) complaining that all women think about is sex ;)

LOL! No no no, I said that the "nice" guys probably didn't view it as being "nice" to post a thread with this title!

Now, however, we have free rein to perv your profile :p
