The most important place to cut "Wasteful Spending" is by cutting
Congress itself. My suggestion is that we go to a single Senator per State and limit the maximum number of members of the House of Representatives to 5 per State and require that the House could not have more than 150 delegates under any circumstances. I would still suggest that the States be represented by at least 1 House member but those states with larger numbers of reps would have to do with fewer. That would certainly simplify the negotiations, cut the various spending interests, eliminate half of the cost of our legislature and their wasteful initiatives. Also, there would be less campaigning and lobbying cost which are a significant legislative overhead cost. It has to be a good move. Let's go for some real legislative reform for a change. I don't buy the argument that a smaller Congress could not represent the citizenry well enough. |

Fars always gets it right!
A news agency in Iran has published a report by the satirical news website, The Onion, saying rural white Americans would rather vote for President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad than Barack Obama. Quoting The Onion word-for-word, Fars states that an opinion poll also found 77% would rather go to a baseball game or have a drink with Mr Ahmadinejad. A made-up West Virginia resident is quoted as saying: "I like him better." The report has not yet been published in Farsi on the agency's website. The Fars news agency, which is affiliated with the powerful Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), does not credit The Onion for the report on the survey. The West Virginia resident is also quoted as saying the Iranian leader "takes national defence seriously, and he'd never let some gay protesters tell him how to run his country like Obama does". Iran banned alcohol after the Islamic revolution in 1979. Homosexuality is punishable by imprisonment or, in some cases, death. Iranian media and politicians frequently refer to the US as the "Great Satan". In 2004, China's state-run Beijing Evening News relayed a report by The Onion which said the US Congress was threatening to move out of Washington unless a new Capitol was built. |

justsayhi was the best. thongitards were purely optional.
there were adultish forums and salacious posts and some of it got really "saucy". over the years many of the most amusing personalities moved on for one reason or another and much of the fun and amusement evaporated along with the creativity and R-rated and NC-17 content. but hey i always really liked the pre-code movies... |

This question is nagging at me, so I thought I'd ask you experts. Is it possible to genuinely fall in love with someone you've only gotten to know on a site like mingle? It used to seem very strange to me...but then I recall a simpler time when people didn't have all this instant communication and had to get to know each other by snail mail letters. The emotions were just as real by letter if not moreso than in person. So, are these warm and fuzzy feelings caused by digital words and images real emotions or just the illusion of emotion? If it is genuine, is that a good thing? I met my last two relationships including my wife via computer. So the short answer is yes you bet. Of course email and videochat will only go so far so eventually you meet and see how it goes and if it is good then that is usually pretty much the end of videochat if both of you are close enough geographically. Bon Appetit!! |

Enjoyed the Real Madrid v Man U game. Real outplayed them even though
it ended in a tie. I was surprised how Real was able to dominate the play in Man U end for long stretches of the game. Good ball. |
