You mentioned 'demonizing' things that their religion felt harmful...
But don't most religions sanction off some things as taboo? My parents
were raised Pentecostal and they couldn't even listen to R&B music!
We've all got something!!!

Now for Ghost, do you still consider yourself to be Mormon? Or since
you haven't actively participated in a while do you associate yourself
as another faith? Or a wanderer??? I hope that comes across as genuine
curiosity and not as being mean...

to bash anyone's faith, I just really wanted to know more about it
honestly!!! But the concept of spirit babies was comical to me... But
thank you for enlightening me, and one question... is the LDS the more
modern version of Mormonism or is it just a branch of the religion?
Because you know like w/ Christianity there are several off shoots...

The only reason that I ask people for their experiances is because life
is always much more intersting than written accounts. I'd love to hear
a Mormon tell me exactly what a day in the life consists of for him or
her, versus reading about it in a book. Don't get me wrong, I do
research!!! But I'm a romantic and I love hearing first hand accounts.

Not sure if Reds post is a stab or not... so I'll take it as not. But
Red, I agree with you on one sense, there are ways to make it work if
they are faith filled, and not necessarily 'christian'. But there comes
a point where it's not just about having an intellectual conversation or
blending on an intellectual level. It's more to it than a melting of
the minds. Two spirits cannot come together if they are not agreeable
spirits. How could I believing in God have a SPIRITUAL covenant with
someone who does not? And to me that's what marriage is... it's not
just cohabitating w/ someone for life. That's what friends, college,
and roommates are for. And no, the Bible is not my only source of
literature, or 'books like it'. But I do use the Bible as a handbook if
you will, not for entertainment. But if we had like beliefs, such as
Christians and Catholics do, I'm sure it could work out. But when it
boils down to it, I like pork... (And forgive me for trying to keep it
light... I'm just tired of arguing and wanted to approace the subject
from a more comical angle)

I did some quick thinking and I agree w/ Ghost... and AB... I think
people you are compatible with present themselves at different points in
your life. Either you chose to 'become the right person' and 'make that
person your soul mate' or you move on to what's behind door number
two... But I don't think there is one person made specifically for you,
I think you choose whether or not the one you're with could be lifetime
love... I mean think about people that are like 70 that get remarried.
50 years is a long time to be married, your husband/wife die and you
remarry... say you live 30 more years? 2 soulmates???
