Topic: Vampire cults ? | |
---|---|
I was watching the History channel about the legend and history of the vampires. During this show, it covered a section of devout vampire cults. There are ACTUALLY people out there who believe they are truly the mysterious and supernatural vampires. Does anyone know about the unsolved mystery of Susan Walsh? She was undercover journalists that explored the lifestyle of secretive vampires. "In the early 1990's, bizarre vampire clubs began springing up in New York's Greenwich Village. The clubs boasted a dicey clientele, many of whom claimed to be real blood drinkers. Susan was so taken with the vampire world, she started dating a man who claimed to be one of the undead. Susan wrote a detailed article, but in this case her judgement seemed skewed. She apparently believed a lot of what was being told to her. To Susan's disappointment, the Village Voice never ran her article on vampires." Article http://www.skyvlad.com/swalsh.html So many things go on in this world. I met a guy on here that claims to be a vampire acutally.. |

It's one of those little known facts...and believed (by some) to be the origin of all (or most) vampire myths |

What I find interesting is that this cult actually believed they were
vampires. |

I believe that it goes deaper then rabies. Theres one cult that I know
about, there called "The order of AsetKA". I dont know much about them, there very secretive. They claim to be the direct decendents from Aset (Greek name is Isis, the Egyptian goddess of life). There are alot of people who claim to be vampires, but only live a lifestyle of a vampire, this is called sangurnarienism ( sry that its misspelt). There is one disease, i think its two or three diseases that if you have them all it makes a different disease. I'm not sure of the name if it but you can google "Vampiric disease. or something along those lines and you should find something. I was wathing something on the History channel about a women that had theis disease and killed over fifteen people. The only reason that she killed them was the need for something in the blood, I dont know what the need was though.Theres always more then the eye shows. And dont forget the Occult is not a perfect science, Alester Crowly said that best. |

Aset (king maker) mother of Horus. Rumored to have learned the true
name of RA and therefore knows the secrets of the Universe. She is also known as 'Mother of God' and is the keeper of the Book of the Dead. The Wife of Osiris and also supposed to be the Mother of Magic. |

Interesting. what's "RA?"
|

I think he was the Sun God, but I'm sure AB will correct me if I'm
wrong!! |

Ra was the sun god. He rode around in a boat called a "bark". He also
put a feather in his hat and called it macaroni...I think he did at least. |

boredchick07,

Interesting thing about Egyptian mythology.
In a nut shell. There was a god king who became great and was reborn as his own son by a woman that had no man. (virgin birth). He ruled in the flesh on the earth and then went to the heavens. Once a person begins their own journey through the gates of the heavens they will be judged by this reborn god king and if found worth will receive great blessings. If found un worth they will recieve the full measure of their unworthyness. Sound familiar. |

there is a condition (or rather, group of conditions) called porphyria
that have symptoms that have been associated with true vampirism. people that are affected literally blister and scar when exposed to sunlight, so much that their features are distorted. they also have severe nausea and cramping, and being severely anemic, crave blood. these people are often treated with heme and blood transfusions...very interesting. some are even insane. it's also been suggested a time or three that they may be the real reason behind the vampire myth. |
