Topic: Adoption vs will of God? | |
---|---|
I need everyone's opinion on a touchy subject.
What are your opinions on adoption? Some people have told me it is against God's will but how would they know. Some feel adoption is just fine. What do you think? |

I'm asking because I don't plan to have children, or basically give birth. However, I was thinking adoption is okay for the future.** NOT now too young! |

a child is a gift..
adoption or other wise they are still life.. that needs to be cherished and loved. |

There are so many women who can't have children. I feel it is a
blessing to adopt even if you can't have children. My mother's best friend adopted three children when she was 42. She was pregnant at the same time my mother was with me, then a terrible accident left her babyless and unable to have children. After many years her husband finally gave into adoption. My mom's best friend's is an awesome mother. She always wanted kids, now she has them, and loves them... it isn't like they are her own... they are her own. |

I don't see how adoption could be against God's will. Wouldn't he want a
child to be taken care of and loved, even if their parents couldn't? Just my thoughts. :) |

I agree with what they ^^ have said. There are so many children that
don't have their own parents, but they still need to be loved just the same. I don't understand how any one could think that adoption is against God's will. Wouldn't that be like saying God does not want these children to be loved? |

hi v_lee
Thankyou so much. I was seeing if it was just me that thought that statement was strange. LOL |

i think adoption is a wonderful thing. don't understand why some people
would say it is against God's will. there are children out there that need love and a stable home. if it is something that you can provide, then by all means adopt. just keep an open mind in the process and don't say no to a child of a different nationality. they'll be come your child whether you had them or not. |

These children didn't ask to be brought into this world. My pastor once
told me that everyone was created in the image of God. These children were created in the image of God... how come they should be discriminated against because they have parents that gave them up? |

I agree

Wow! I've never heard of anyone saying adoption is against God's will,
thats shocking, and I'm glad to see so many Christians speaking up to voice their support for adoption. I think adopting is a beautiful thing to do. |

If you look at it from a statistical point of view. There are over
80,000 homeless children. And alot of them still have their parents but alot don't. Those are just the children that have turned up. Who is to say there isn't more. I view adoption as ok because your not only helping a child get the life that it has so long never known. Those children are just purely amazing. No real sense of greed. I think it would be great to see the look on one of those children's faces when they have a home cooked meal to eat. A bed of their own. All the little luxuries that we ourselves were lucky to have growing up. And quite honestly how can any human being say it is against god's will to adopt. Is there anyone of a sound human nature that can honestly say they know what god is planning. I don't know. I will let him guide me. But i believe it is more god's will to save a life from poverty and all those harshnesses. Than it would be to have one of your own. Now don't get me wrong i want a child of my own but i would be just as happy to adopt a child. |
