GMT/UTC is Worldwide standard to STANDARDIZE Where the Sun is located! So you would prefer Noon for CST = Noon for you and it is dark? Or, do you guys even use "Noon"? Hahahaha! Brits drive on Left Side to enable predominantly right handed population to be able to swing their swords at oncoming opponents. Chariot days or something? Some crud regarding Napoleon or somebody! What a trait to hang onto for your life. I think ounces = ounces everywhere. Now grams....They are standardized in England and that is only place a gram is a GRAM. Oh my! Who's "You guys" I wonder  We don't call it noon nor lunchtime, we say "tussen de middag" or "om 12 uur". YOU Guys in "Zeeland" I meant. "tussen de middag" or "om 12 uur". Oh my----Oh my! I said to annie from new Zealand in another thread about this, they are a day ahead of us. good thing is that if the world is coming to an end, we will get a days notice  So we could clean up on $ markets knowing the future. I'm In. Sure thing, just have to get annie and blondey to give us the heads up then we'll smash the markets! But hang on, we'll only have a day to spend it!  That'll be a whole lot of cream cakes With the profits of tomorrow...Just buy futures? Kind of like "Kiting" $? Seems simple? |

American times are confusing anyways... If it was based on GMT it'd much easier to understand. Or call it UTC if you can't stand the fact that the 0 line is in Europe  for I believe UTC is the same as GMT? Pacific time, Mountain time, lord-knows-what time... makes my head spin. I'm at GMT+2. Americans are at GMT -8 through GMT -6. Now ain't that a whole lot easier? Easy for you to say...I guess. Yes, my posts are PST. I see that. I am ever confused when I awake and view messages all over the place regarding time posted. I gave up years ago here on Mingle many things. Seems Robxbox has it nailed. I guess. |

Nothing is safe, secure or permanent on the internet.
Multi billion gazillion $ companies are hit thousands of times a day by thieves attempting to infiltrate. We, the people have not a chance hanging onto digital data in some "Cloud". I gave up on photobucket yrs back as I had to use it to post to a site I visit often. They gave up on them as well and just allowed folks to put pics in posts. Lots of hosting sites come and go so off we go. |

My Daughter died(stopped breathing) twice first 24 hours of life. She was resuscitated both times. Her head was deformed at birth due to pre-maturely fused cranial sutures. She had her skull taken apart and re-built when she was 8 months old. She is a teenager now and quite healthy, happy and plenty smart enough. When she was about 3 yrs old we were sitting at dining room table and she started telling me....."Daddy, when I was with Jesus...". My Mother died from venomous snake bite when very young. She was resuscitated and lived a long life. She always enjoyed memories of being with Jesus and he speaking with her. Not sure what denotes a miracle? I suspect they come in different sizes.   As for me .. I have yet to see anything close to a miracle ..so I guess I am not a believer:/) Maybe the whole circumstance was a bit of a miracle? Long story got my Daughter to that excellent Hospital for Birth. Excellent facility and Doctors...all in a row might be the Miracle? I guess I didn't make myself or the situation clear enough. |

I think most all "providers" charge too much for carefully arranged electrons that come and go with the wind.

What bothers me most about the subject of morality, is that so often, the people who are bringing it up, are actually doing so in a tremendously IMMORAL fashion. That is, when a government functionary, for example, complains that crime is the result of "morality problems," it is too often the truth, that what they are REALLY out to do, is to deflect responsibility to act, onto others, especially to blame the victims of crimes themselves. Agreed. |
