I want him to be masculine, yes.
A few of the masculine/Yang qualities: active, focus, direction, giving, stable, logic, supporting etc. What I'm looking for is those things, and confidence, respect, inner balance. Also able to commit, and has the natural masculine 'provide & protect' trait. I think those are most important to me, without going into detail as to how why and what. |

I would say caring to start ... I know this may sound weird ...
but I am looking for someone that is different... haven't put my finger on it yet ... just hope I will know ... when the time is right for me ... must be a align ... I guess

We are all works in progress , including myself so I am hoping to find someone, who is striving to cultivate the following traits as I do the same.
1. Principled including the principle of honesty 2. Great conversation skills 3. not too extreme in the handling of stress and conflict eg It would be really hard to work through relationship issues with someone who shuts down , or turns to unhealthy vices like drugs or gambling as a way out of stress 4 sense of humor 5 self awareness 6 a relatively healthy ego eg confidence 7 relative consistency in mood and behavior 8 zest for their individual goals , dreams, life 9 general acceptance of other's differences 10flexibility ie not too rigid in expectations as life is unpredictable I wish my list was shorter, but Im learning that if both the person and I dont have or develop these traits, that the relationship is not likely to last or thrive |

I continue to be amused, that despite millions of years on this planet together, and at least thousands of those years with shared spoken and written languages, that men and women still to this day, have entirely different SENSIBILITIES as to what concepts such as "masculine" and "feminine" mean, especially in detail.

Regarding this particular topic, it just occurred to me that the things that we are looking for in the opposite sex that excite us the most, are not always the qualities that help a relationship thrive in the longterm...
... but in the moment it can make you feel so enraptured

Well speaking strictly for myself as a man of the ages... I can think of one or two or three qualities.. one big quality comes to mind for myself....lol... wait a minute!!.. runs to the bathroom looks at his behind in the mirror..ok.. make that two good qualities. Come to mine...lol....
