pretty much living in a crack house You lived in my house too? took me forever to get everyone out! Seriously....figured out how to survive on a bag o taters, loaf o bread and tub o buttah (just a pun) for a month....God I hated Denver...after that, being homeless was practically a vacation. Glad the past is behind me. I may not be wealthy (that is for damned sure) but, I now can truly value the simple things in my life. Fuzuckin Crackheads!!!! LOL |

I am truly grateful for everything I have and who I have become. I like to keep those days fresh in my mind just to remind me to stay grateful. It is much prettier on this side of the tracks Glad we are on both on this side now |

I don't equate changing someone as the same thing as trying to prevent them from suicide...the two thoughts don't even come together in the same spot anywhere in my head.. We can all say we won't change for someone, but to a certain degree I think we all do every time we get involved with someone, either consciously or unconsciously. As far as suicide, I would do whatever was within my power to stop someone. From my work, I know most often than not, this is an impulsive act of someone who most often is off their meds, crazy drunk on booze and drugs, or half out of their minds with despair or grief and would otherwise not consider suicide. Again, most often than not, when their thoughts are more coherent, and they get some help with treatment/meds, they regret the act. I find it funny everyone is hinging on the suicide thing, it was an example. Taken to the extreme love fails, where love fails it did not exist...love doesn't exist, you will never support your partner regardless of personal thoughts. You will never find the perfect median as it simply does not exist, there is right and there is wrong and solely you dicate the two. In a relationship, it is no different, you still see black and white. And it is you who dictates the black and white. My point exactly. Nothing in life is black & white, we live & love in shades of gray. There is no right or wrong, but varying degrees of the two. |

"I've got the breath of the last cigarette on my teeth..." Love, what is it to you? To me it is the understanding that no matter the choice the one you love makes, you support it regardless. Which is why I don't think love exists, mainly because as human of a feeling as it could be we always have a tendency to want "better" for someone. Now I'm not talking about a person that simply doesn't take care of themselves, I'm talking more about personal decisions they make based on how they feel at the time. The one thing I can come up with is suicide, no one wants someone to take their life...but someone that loves someone won't try to stop them from making the decision. Which is another thing I may never understand about love as most people see it, why...why change the person you fell in love with? Turn them into someone that they don't want to be? All in the name of "better". Better for who? The one thing I can come up with is suicide, no one wants someone to take their life...but someone that loves someone won't try to stop them from making the decision. Where did this idea come from? It is a very warped thought. Sorry. It is scary warped. And the statement that you would support whatever choice they make??? Where are these thoughts coming from? Were you taught to think this way? I don't mean to come down on you, but WTF??? Why? I taught myself to think this way, sorry I don't follow your fairy tale white road to a big castle...love. Love is about freedom, not imprisonment, who puts who in a power position to dictate what is right and wrong? If the person I love wanted to leave, I would let them because I love them and respect their decision. Same goes if they wanted to take their own life, if that is truly what they wanted to do...I hardly think anything anyone says against it is going to suddenly change their mind. You don't have to like the outcome or enjoy the decision, but the least you can do since you love them is support it. I don't subscribe to the whole "white picket fence" fairy tale, but I do have compassion for humanity. Love is also about compromise, understanding, partnership, and support. Standing by and doing nothing when someone talks about committing suicide is criminal! This has nothing at all to do with love, this has to do with taking an understanding of a word and bringing it to an extreme. Things in life are not black and white, they are various shades of gray. Nothing is absolute. Love is at a deeper level, but it does not involve sitting idly by while someone is jumping off a bridge. This is just common sense. |

So, the weekend is over...sobriety has set in and now the aftermath rears it's ugly head. I turn to the ladies of the gang for useful answers here. Suppose, "hypothetically" that a certain dude got conned into letting a chick shave him from the top lip to the first toe knuckle. Yes it was fun, kinky, erotic and..frankly terrifying. That being said.... What the hell do you rub on razor burn?..... cause my armpits are driving me out of my mind! Yeah, I figured it would be "other" areas that would be messing with me but, I swear, this is driving me up the damned walls and it is even tougher knowing that I gotta pretend like all is normal around the guys at work. For the love of God! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!!!! hypothetically..... Buttah? |

does anyone think marijuana should be legalized for anyone who wants it ? not only medical reasons . is the reason they don't being worried about cocaine and heroin becoming legal then? would that save people from becoming victims of crime or dieing less people in prison for drug offenses . like casual users . Nah, although I think alcohol should be illegal. It causes more deaths and destruction than marijuana. |

Before anyone reads my thoughts, please understand I am not referring to dating sites or anything specific. Religion and antiquated ideology STILL brainwashes society into thinking the nude body is shameful. There is a double standard that women’s breasts are a sexual organ which is ridiculous. Breasts are mammary glands and not sexual organs. Because of this, it’s OK for men to be shirtless in public but not women (such as a beach). I agree that anything below the belt should NOT be displayed publicly. I believe there is a time and a place for everything as well as audience appropriateness (ie, kids) should always be considered. I don’t even think breast feeding should be done in public but I am not a kid person (which is off topic and not germane to my feelings). I think it’s sad when people argue over conservatism if applied to others. If someone wants to be prudish, fine, but don’t judge others or put their beliefs on others. This is something that has always annoyed me. I don’t spout off to people who dress in layers like a peasant and the overkill of clothing, so what gives them the right to tell me (or anyone else) that being topless at a beach or wearing a bikini is sinful. We were born naked! Common sense should dictate when naked is appropriate but not completely take over into being an extreme conformist. I waited to weight in on this topic because I tend to get very passionate about my rights, my body, and how disproportionate women are treated in 2009 regarding this subject. I know I am in the minority and there will be people who wish to debate with me; however, I have said my peace. I can’t change anyone’s mind and I don’t feel like arguing with a brick wall today. For those that think anyone displays their bodies because they are devoid of other qualities, I think that is ignorant. There are some that crave attention, yes, but some people just like to be free. I am a college educated -- soon to have a PhD and I love my body. I love being a personal trainer and helping people love their bodies too. I am surrounded in a world of beautiful bodies on the beach and I am happy when people are confident. Again, don't judge others; judege yourself. Thanks for reading. I think everything on a woman's body is viewed that way. I was just telling someone how I'm hesitant to post the pics of my bare legs with my tattoo because it brings the pervs to my profile. I don't see anything sexual about bare legs, but that's just me. Men love legs, darling! Finally, someone posted something I can agree with! But, for all that, I'm really not interested in seeing anybody topless. Well, maybe Billie Piper. Yeah, just because we agree, and I am very free, doesn't mean it's time to flash or get naked, right? I know when to keep the girls in their place! I agree completely. Great post, thanks :) |

Looking in the Wrong Places?

At this point in my life i'm wondering if i'm looking for love in the wrong places. I'm 26, never had a gf & have now idea about this whole "love" thing. My friends keep trying to get me to talk to girls at malls & stuff, i just find that to be the last place to look for a gf. Been trying online forever too & still no luck, where is a good place to meet a girl that actually want to date a guy for personality & not looks or money? You have never had a girlfriend? Just wondered if I read this correctly. Take a class, go to church, have a friend set you up. You need experience and confidence. |
