does anyone think marijuana should be legalized for anyone who wants it ? not only medical reasons . is the reason they don't being worried about cocaine and heroin becoming legal then? would that save people from becoming victims of crime or dieing less people in prison for drug offenses . like casual users .

I think it should be de-criminalized. Legalizing it may be misread as support for use which may not be wise. I dont however think anyone should be in jail for getting high if they have not hurt anyone. I do not see it as any more harmful than cigarettes or alcohol which kills far more people each year and contributes to far more violent crimes.

I do not use any drugs or drink, but I do take a note of how much more violent crime there was when alcohol was illegal than after it was de criminalized. Crime dropped quite a bit until the next recreational drug was made criminal. Making these things criminal just kind of ensures that its gonna be the criminals controlling it.

it's seems some say legal some not . government taxes probably would make it the same price. msharmony sees the picture . in cook county chicago only outer chicago ticket and fine . before arrested and then thrown out of court . it's all about money

Oh puh leze.

if they did legalize or de criminalize it, the government would tax the hell out of it and people would still go to street dealers for it anyway.

JMO~if there was a way to make it legal and tax it like we do just bout everything else, it could be used as a way to get our country out of the recession we are in. Realisticly, that won't ever happen since it is impossible to stop all the people who do grow it. I do believe that the laws against selling, transporting, smoking etc pot are a bit extreme. If pot was decriminalized some our prisons wouldn't be as crowded...maybe. ~JMO

i honestly don't care. i think that its a two sides to a coin thing. the economy would have a huge boost and agriculture would become extremely popular again.

unfortunately it would also open up the doors for lobbyists to fight to legalize other drugs such as low dose meth.

its like wheres the middle ground?

oh we're already standing in it.
