It's fine to bash on Obama, we should constantly criticize him. We shouldn't all be YES MEN. However it would be nice if people who bashed on him actually knew what they were talking about.... Calling him a meat head and a bad speaker is just a foolish, inaccurate, and show's ignorance. I'm not the biggest Obama fan right now but he is very intelligent, and a phenomenal speaker. As far as policy on Iran goes, he should just shut up and let them work out their own problems. Lets not help where we are not wanted.

Well I'm still an optimist. It's still very early in the presidency, and the world already hate's us a lot less, and the economy is showing signs of improvement. I still think it's not enough but there is still time for "Change" as one President promised... I just wish he would stop being such a chicken ****.

It's not just those on wall street that are responsible for this mess, although they have a lot to be sorry for. If you want to know who is responsible you need not look further than a mirror... and I include myself in that assessment. We had a costly war that is still eating up the treasury, idiots who bought homes they couldn't afford, people who spent riduculous amounts on credit cards, and numerous amounts of scams.

While a person on wall street's greed may share more of the blame than your average mechanic, we can not say that we average Jane's and Joe's are completely innocent. As long as we live with this mentality that we all want tons of money and tons of STUFF we all share the blame in this Economy's collapsing.

I'm no Socialist but we already tried the Hand's off government approach.... If anything we need more and more regulation. History of this country sides with Regulation... When Teddy Roosevelt put forth regulation country improved.... Later on when his cousin FDR put forth regulation it improved again, and no self respecting American would call them socialists. BIG FAT NO!... Do not buy into swine flu, it's no worse than the common form of influenza. If you get it even if you don't get the vaccination if you are a healthy person nothing will happen to you.

You are completely right Thomas. So far it was been possible 60 people have died in whole world... Last year in the United states alone 1600 people died from regular influenza.
All swine flu is, is an evolved for of influenza which we have created an extremely potent vaccination for. Diseases and illness evolve and dissapear, they have throughout human history.... I'm not saying don't take care of it if you get it, but to normal healthy person even without the vaccination, you have nothing to worry about.

In broad spectacle of things it's really not that much money.... while it may be wasteful, you'd be surprised what positive outcomes can come from such things....

ahhh!!! I knew after I wrote that I should have chosen my words more carefully. I'm not saying they should hate one another, I believe in a common goal. I just think people have a tendency to always demonize the bigger power, my liberal base especially, when if fact both Palestine and Israel are guilty.

Well seeing as I know the trend of how most liberals go, being one myself... it makes sense in that matter... Only thing I find irritating is that Palestinian Gov. publicly advertises those beliefs. I believe in a 2 state solution, and for Israel to recognize Palestian independence, and I don't look as Israel as a saint. However if Palestine has it's gov. (which I think it should) how do they think women will be treated?

About 99.99999% of hippies (and I don't mean that in a degrading manor) and liberals are enormous advocates of Women's Rights and Gay Rights.... In Palestine women have very few rights and it's not uncommon for someone who is gay to be be-headed or stoned (and not the hippies version of stoned).

I find it odd standing together when their world views are completely opposite.

Recently I went to the Museum of Modern Art in SF.
Across the street there Was a Jewish festival where these Palestinians were protesting the occupation of Palestine, and I noticed all the hippies and liberals were protesting with the Palestinians... Part of me wanted to hold up a Women's Rights sign or a Gay flag and see how fast that alliance would fall apart.

Now before you demonize me with angry comments and please feel free to do so... I don't agree with the occupation ..... I just found the alliances in the protest to be an oxymoron.

Taipei, Taiwan.... It was fun but it was Just another city... so many nicer places on the Asian continent.
