Yes, and I positively believe some of these folks could exercise a little common sense. DARE to DREAM! (actually I was gonna write about how the general public is a lot like a flesh eating, cancer like virus....but I digress to save bandwidth and typical-oh so ever-predictable replies) |

I have a read a lot of profiles that say something along the lines like:
My children are the most important thing in the world to me! or... My kids, who are my life and are God's greatest gift to me! or.... Mother of 5 BEAUTIFUL children who are a blessing!! --- But I haven't seen ones that lean the other way.....strange.

I have heard that word used a lot. Me too!!! I hear it almost daily coming from cars passing by with their radios turned up real high like and it's loud! It comes from their radio speakers from this modern music called rap? I think? But whadda ya gonna do? *frown* 
yea, I live in the inner city.

It's Mobile Alabama...the rainiest city in the US.
average 5 feet of rain a year. Wash. doesn't enter the list until #24....and it's Olympia...not Seattle. I did not know that. and that's where I wanna move to then. |

I recycle(I'm a good person) and I sleep very well at night knowing I only fill up the landfills with other junk.

I watch their kids more than they do.
My dog is also watched and taken care of way better than their kids. that's why there should be a very strict test before having kids. |

CYF did nothing. Neither did the cops. Ditto for landlord. it's the American way. |

My 1st wife had a child and I helped raise him for 5 years. Probably not good enough for you.......and the others on here with kids from broken marriages. or even better....way to avoid my post! Sorry, not the same thing. You'll excuse me if I chuckle a bit. You'd probably like it if I avoided your post. This way you can say whatever you like without having anyone to refute you. Not going to happen. You post in a public forum and you are going to hear from people who disagree with you. Deal with it or not, doesn't matter a whit to me. and yet you just HAD to take the time to type THAT response anyway! yea....don't bother TRYING to hold an intelligent conversation....that would go against the laziness we all hold so dear. Off to the bank since they have to close tomorrow for a NON-holiday....so I won't be back for a while. |

and I blame it all on: Spare the rod-spoil the child....which is NON-existent in America. I never once had to raise my hand to either of my daughters. The older will be a senior in HS next year and is deciding what University she will be attending. Among her options are Fordham, NYU, Johns Hopkins, Boston U, and her "reach" school, Yale. The younger one will be a junior and has already decided on film school at UCLA. They are both wonderful, funny, smart, respectful, and have a heightened awareness of the world around them. You're a 43 year old man with no children and you presume to be an expert????? Sorry about your situation, but don't go stereotyping. Until you have a doctorate in child or adolescent behavioral sciences AND YOU ARE A PARENT, save your silly false know-it-all assumptions. RIGHT! Only the best schools for my kid! Screw everybody else! You read my posts and get an attitude......wow...you ARE deep! teehee!  *giggles*....keep chasing girls!! hehe!!!

What advice did I give? The one from the bible? Many people are 'insulated' from the real world. Here we go! What does he mean? Where does he get off saying that?! Many say all the right things , but don't practice it themselves. We all have a view of how things should be. Take racism for example. In public, we will all agree that we are not a racist!! But yet many 'conveniently' structure their life to avoid certain people. i.e. You have a good job and a make good money....why didn't you buy/move into a house in a area known locally as 'ghetto'? ...or....I don't want my child in that kind of environment!! (the hypocrisy is glowing on fire!) What kind of environment are you to say is the correct one? ...or even better...what's so wrong with the people who live in a ghetto? Ohhh...I see....you're better than them! (but can't/won't EVER admit to that!) Again....many say all the right things , but don't practice it themselves. Talk to us when you speak from experience. Till then keep chasing after "girls."

believe it or not a parent does instill somewhat of fear and thats just what a parents job is, its called tough love but so many people today are so scared of the law they reword everything and make you think its bad hitting your chilid. its not! god hisself says spare the rod spoil the child. society might say im wrong but god says im right, i would rather listen to god I don't believe in a god that believes that hurting someone else is ok. And I believe in tough love, but I think you can accomplish the same ends without resorting to physical violence. I don't think that my son needs to fear me in order for him to respect me or learn to follow rules or anything else. I believe that I can have a good, loving, respectful relationship with my child that isn't based on fear of physical violence. I believe that I can teach my child to survive in this world in ways other than using his fists. I believe there are other, better ways of solving problems than to physically force someone into submission. Hitting our children teaches them it's ok to use physical violence to achieve an end, this is why there is so much abuse in the world, why men beat their wives and girlfriends, why women beat their children, why people of both sexes abuse their pets. The only way to stop this world of the violence we live in is to stop repeating the cycle of violence. Change begins at home and no where else. Will have to agree to disagree with all that. Understand that we LIVE in a violent world.....even mother nature is downright nasty at times. It's like the people who oppose war.... It's all very honorable to think peace and love will work out....but you HAVE to be realistic...it ain't NEVER gonna happen!!! Never has,never will. |

I think many people believe that we are all superior to other species on this planet.
Big mistake in thinking like that. You can argue that we ARE superior to other animals.....but we are animals too.....and when you're done debating/arguing ....we're all animals at the end of the day. When you turn on the local news(pick any day) there's this overall 'worry' about our children s safety. We've become a nation of worriers and scaredy-cats. How did we get along so far before this? bottom line....parents in general are raising pansies....who will not be able to deal with the harshness and realities of life.....but no problem....they'll just make more stupid laws. |

Parents who are searching for a 6 year old. I would have been crazy at the cop station!! They do NOT take responsibility for their kids. Sure they could...but they don't.
