MY QUOTE OF THE DAY

Slow people like me, when they get around to figuring out what everyone is talking about.. can only entreat: Your assumptions are your windows on the world. Scrub them off every once in a while, or the light won't come in. ― Isaac Asimov can only say: If others tell us something we make assumptions, and if they don't tell us something we make assumptions to fulfill our need to know and to replace the need to communicate. Even if we hear something and we don't understand we make assumptions about what it means and then believe the assumptions. We make all sorts of assumptions because we don't have the courage to ask questions. ― Miguel Ruiz, The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom Some thing I have learned is, ONLY make assumptions of someone you know yourself and not by what other people tell you. Find out for yourself. It's kind of like a double edged blade when you make assumptions, because it can reveal more about you than you care to admit and less about the person. Then again making assumptions is important for survival I guess. That would eventually lead to assuming things based on evidence. Having principles. I really don't know which is more correct, but I sometimes think it's interesting to assume what a person wouldn't do than what a person would do. |

When you first start dating is sex one of the main things on a man's mind? Is he thinking when am I going to get it? Can't speak on behalf of every man, but personally I would prepare for possible outcomes that's worth being ready for. If she wants to come by my place, there better be clean. If we're watching a movie, I better have the movie stuff under control and if sex happens then the bed better be clean. If none of those things happen then I've got a clean apartment, movies ready to watch and a clean bed to sleep in :) It's not that I'm preparing for these things to happen because that's what I'm aiming for, it's just that it's a lot better to be ready for it if it should happen. To answer your question a bit clearer, sex is definitely a topic among many others in my head. However not a priority. My priority would be to make her smile, laugh and have a good time because she would obviously be my type otherwise I wouldn't date her. I like to take it one thing at a time. |

I was three years old and my father told me he was proud of me because of something I had done without even thinking Every time I accomplish something or do anything. Basically whenever I make an effort I know that he's proud of me. that's lovely, that memory has stayed with you and always will. Hey Debbie, you're... great! |

It's interesting when men or women have these revelations of how their counter part work.
Sex on the first date... wow it really depends a lot on the situation so it's really hard to have a base opinion about this haha Sometimes it can say something about the person for sure. But then again sure why not. Why would it have to mean anything? |

"Dear mich11111 I have no idea where to begin. Sincerely everybody" Sorry xD I don't understand why that guy has to tell you the names of his parents.. what does that have to do with what he's saying People seek truths... sure, but does that have any connection with this time we're living in... I will tell you again go search for. Amazing End Time Prophecy. This the only study you need to get answered for all your QUESTIONS. Have your BIBLE next you, please I urge you do it before the devil changed your mind. I know who the devil is,because the Bible teaches us for knowing him so that we can escape his tramp. Your response is interesting, but clearly you're avoiding the questions I asked. From your post, you ask like a billion questions. Not only that, but you're also contradicting yourself. I'm not sure whether it's because of your grammar or you're just like this. Also "Tramp" is a very unlucky word to use. My questions were simple and thus I expect a simple answer. It's a response like this that make it impossible for a rational discussion. Stay true to the topic and questions and if you do have quotations that are relevant then put em up. I'm not gonna read the bible for this, especially when it's so out of context. |

Yeah Matrix is awesome!
Funny how Neo pretty much turned out to be Jesus though haha I have a lot of favorite lines about religion in movies, comics and books. One of them are from the manga, Berserk. The main character, Guts aka the black swordsman is a branded man haunted by spirits that possess the living and the dead all want to kill him and the woman he loves. He gets captured by the vatican and stripped of his clothing and weapons. He faces a woman to answer for his crimes against god. The woman wishes to know his motives and threatens him with fire. Then the amazing dialogue: Guts: Do you... believe in god and the devil? Woman: How dare you even ask such a thing... After I told you not to take his name in vain... Guts: Have you met him? God? Woman: God in his glory does not show himself upon this earth. God exists because we have faith. In my heart... and even more so in heaven. Guts laughs Woman: How dare you laugh! Guts: Your answer is like drawing a picture. You study that in a cloister? A long time ago... on a battlefield, there was a nobleman who spoke like you... There was a town that had been burned completely to the ground, along with the women, and the children. The man I speak of had filled the ranks with penniless beggars. They never stood a chance in this shi t duty and there was no sign of god. Confession was a waste of time. They could not repent or change. They would never understand what you have just told me. At most, one of them might have passed by the temple and smelled the stink of it's splendor. Woman gets mad and starts whipping Guts on his chest. Woman: I shall not forgive you again. And then I shall not stop until your skin is falling away from your body, and I am certain your mouth will never speak again. I swear by my faith. Guts: You couldn't if you tried. With your god.. and your commanders.. It all comes down to human ambition. That old bridge knight(one of her very loyal comrades). When he spoke to you. You had the same respect for him... As the other guy had for the beggars. Woman completely loses it this time. |

Well don't really have anyone I love aside from my parents and sisters
To them I'd say, thank you for all the moments you gave me. Accepting my good sides and especially my bad. Letting me be whoever I want to be. To my mother and father, thank you for all the time you gave me. I have never and I will never meet anyone else like you. You're the best thing in my entire life. Love is really what you make of it. Screw the outside world. |

Best response to a religious fanatic I ever heard came from an Atheist. "Having faith in something with no prove...I don't buy into that because I'm not an idiot!" Proof* (face palm) You're right, blond moment...thanks. I'm just playing around haha, also I think I know the video you were talking about. :) |

Hmm... thinking that you cannot stay static in life (meaning having a static mindset) otherwise you won't change.... or will you? I'm not sure about that one actually.
Cause if you repeat something enough times it becomes part of your personality and you can always access it - at least that's how our education system works right? So then repetition equals change! hmm.. What if a person covered him or herself in Vaseline, jumped into a bathtub and pretended to be a slug, would that person eventually become a slug? (not that I would or have done that or is planning it or anything...... I mean come on right? hahahaha...) Alright alright, so then in order for you to change and repeat stuff you need to.. arrrrhhhh This is why I love immediacy so much, you don't necessarily have to think about why you're doing what you're doing. In fact you don't have to think about anything. But we're adults so we have to be responsible and stuff and not just let ourselves get pulled by our own impulses. Then again... are we really adults?... what is an adult. I bet if I asked that question I would get all kinds of answers haha. There is no definition for it. Technically you're an adult in the eyes of society when you can vote, but that doesn't mean you're an adult. So you have responsibilities like kids or other stuff... I had responsibilities as a kid but that didn't make me an adult. So we're children in grown up clothing trying to make sense of the world we're living in with the impression that we're better... somehow! And we want to change... no wonder having trouble finding a solution for this. Though I still think immediacy is the way to go, but I guess that's just personal preference. I bet we all have different ways to look at this... ....Then again!.. |
