Let the guy remember good times...sometimes that is all we have to keep us going. remembering the past is fine, particularly events that shaped us. however, he has taken it to an unhealthy level. he tries to recreate that world or wallow in it whenever possible and he's not moving forward in life. look at it this way; if a 12 year-old still sucked his thumb and wore a diaper he'd probably need psychological help. a 30 year old man living and acting like a teenage boy and always hanging out with people that age is no better. puer aeternus (peter pan syndrome). |

i bumped into a guy i knew from kindergarten through 12th grade. we run into each other every now and then at a concert, sporting event, etc. and he always wants to hang out and "catch up". the problem is that for him that means rehashing pointless crap that happened back then. he talks about breakups from 1994...who the hell cares? i didn't even care back then. and remember the time billy spilled his chocolate milk on the pricipal? hahaha. no...and i don't care.
i still have a few friends from way back. we scattered during college and our lives all changed significantly. some are much closer than they were and i drifted apart from others. but in all cases we grew and if we're still friends it's because of who we ARE, not who we WERE and we don't even talk about the past. that guy didn't grow and can't seem to grasp the idea that the rest of us have. it's pretty sad. he's the same guy he was at 16, just fatter...even the same job. |

i cut off all contact for two years. didn't answer her calls or emails and moved twice (the moves had nothing to do with her). she finally managed to track down my address through a old friend and she wanted me 10 times as bad as she had before. we probably should have stayed around each other and let it fade out instead. she asked me to go to vegas with her last november....10 years after our breakup. i love vegas!

We lost on purpose

Us Brits let you win the American War of Independence. We wanted to wash our hands of you... I'm willing to admit my mistake. You guys still have Billie Piper. Exactly. We needed to keep her safe from all of you yankee perverts. i never understood her appeal. she's not particularly hot and she overacts imo. however, she's definitely not the worst out there. |

i typically don't lose anything during a move. i still have halloween candy from 1983. it's pretty tasty.
what's my secret? i'm extremely meticulous about packing, i never leave my stuff in someone else's care and i do 99% of the grunt work myself because i don't want anybody else loading my trucks. when i see people side-loading a pickup it makes me want to puke. there's a reason the tailgate folds down |

if ya like spicy mac n cheese--add a lil touch of jalepenos(diced) i'd have to upgrade to habaneros. Let's not get carried away . . . lol jalepenos are about as spicy as raisin bran to me. sometimes i buy some habaneros, toss a few dozen in a blender and dump them all over whatever food i have around. cold pizza, chili, bacon, etc. it makes anything taste good. |

several years ago my friend finally figured out i was right about his crazy girlfriend. she punched a window and cut herself on purpose to keep us from going to a party without her. we still went.

some people enjoy the taste of cake but that doesn't mean they will eat the entire cake. one glass for the taste can do the trick great analogy. i love the taste of my favorite beers and really enjoy one or two 32oz mugs with a steak or a habanero buffalo chicken sandwich. not enough to get me buzzed but goes so well with a good meal. |

What Irritates women

it bugs some women that i don't like to tuck in my shirt. who decided cramming a shirt into pants, resulting in a crotch-crowding situation, is formal anyway? it's a weird concept.

Have you ever hurt someone you care about deeply simply because you were afraid of getting hurt first? What did you do to make ammends? no. acting based on fear makes no sense to me. plus, i could get over being hurt a lot easier than i could stop feeling like a jerk for hurting someone else. |

Sunshine gives you vitamin d and keeps away drepression. It's raining here ............... technically the vitamin d doesn't come from the sun. the uvb rays initiate the conversion of cholesterol in the skin do vitamin d3. i don't think i could ever live in a rainy or very cold climate where i was indoors a lot. i just love the sun too much. |

superman needs the rays of the yellow sun to charge up his powers. a red sun (like krypton's) makes him just a regular guy.

it's not hot here yet. just high 90s with heat indexes in the low hundreds.
108 is the warmest i remember from last year. that was right before a vegas trip. it was 108 in there too but felt much better with their low humidity. |

i don't even use butter or milk. i stir it just enough to get the powder wet from the post-draining residual moisture but not so wet that it disolves. i like it to be all clumped up so i get pockets of massive flavor. i have it 3-5 times per week along with 2 cans of tuna mixed with mayo and pickles. yum. if i have a date over and really want to impress her i whip out the good stuff...velveeta shells and cheese. aaah velveeta.... that is some fine dining right there.....LOOL only the best for my ladies . |
