superman needs the rays of the yellow sun to charge up his powers. a red sun (like krypton's) makes him just a regular guy.

It's raining here ............... technically the vitamin d doesn't come from the sun. the uvb rays initiate the conversion of cholesterol in the skin do vitamin d3. i don't think i could ever live in a rainy or very cold climate where i was indoors a lot. i just love the sun too much.
