On the main page.. then click on Edit Profile.. then click on General.. you will see two boxes where you can change the gender. Don't forget to Update your Profile or it won't change.

I wouldn't use your profile name if your seeing her in person. Be honest with her and do a LOT of listening, talking about yourself all the time isn't a good idea.

I think you can get an idea if a "relationship" online is going well or not. I also think if you get the feeling it's not going well it's best to end it early rather than put up with things you feel are not right.
