How they arrived at it. A disturbing number of personal opinions are based on nothing but a misunderstanding of cause and effect.

I would rather hear someone's idea, than opinion. like the old saying goes "opinions are like @ssholes, everybody has one", but not everybody has an idea.

Thats tough, I guess it all depends on what the topic is. I find alot of people with un-educated opinions which just piss's me off.

Their belief system is usually what dictates their opinions...so that's what I'm interested in.

But what if they have no beliefs that coincide with the problem?

Hmmm Then I suppose I would want to know from what basis the opinion derived from.

Opinions are like....everyone has one and they all stink, rather find out how they came to the opinion myself.

What makes people tick is much more interesting & an understanding of their journey provides a much better window.

I got choked up when my niece said that "mean people don't suck, they are just HURT."

I've been hurt. I try to stay positive but allow cynics a bit of empathetic margin.
