Most of us in these forums are very zealous in our positions towards our beliefs or our non-beliefs.
Zealousness is a good thing as long as it is not fill with egoism.
For instance, American history is full individuals who fought with zealousness for their ideals, such as George Washington or Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
The problem starts is when we attack others with the excuse of our passion.
Let's be clear here, one thing is defend with zeal and another thing is attack with zeal as an excuse.
For instance on of the most criticize moment in my Lord's life is when He raised hell (if i'm allowed to use this expression) to the vendors that were crowding the temple. However, he was defending with zeal his Father's house.
We see everyday christians attacking non-believers with the excuse of passion for their beliefs. The same works the other way around.
Beliefs system cannot ever be use as disguise to attack other people who think in a different way.

i dont think they attack because of there beliefs ,, i feel alot of it is to make themselves feel important
