if your shot in the face at point blank do you hear the gun shot???? Yes, because the bullets/shot/whatever would damage your face more than your ears... also, sound travels faster than bullets. |

Depends on where your shot on how much you hear, either way you will hear it.
Oh and for the one that said sound is faster than a bullet, why when I fire my rifle does someone see my bullet hit before they hear it. Even with me shooting it, its the same. Bigger things even travel faster than sound for example, RPGs do, in fact you will see it explode before you hear it as well of you will hear it explode before you hear your weapon fire. Figure out that one, if one explodes before the other why do you hear the second on first. Laws of physics can't answer that, not at least what I know of it. |

That doesn't sound right... because then bullets would give off a sonic boom or whatever. Speed of sound =340.29 m / s or 1,128 fps (feet per second). Speed of bullet?: S&W 40 caliber from Winchester is rated at 1,000 fps I think it varies by gun... What gun are you planning to be shot in the face with? |

I think there is a lot of calculations we are missing here, such as the distance from the target to the observer, and the observer to the shooter... and the shooter to the target. I don't know... I haven't worked on physics in ages... My brain hurts. |
