I know plenty of what would be considered overweight women who are perfectly happy with themselves and they are very attractive.

It's all about what each person is or isn't attracted to... It doesn't bother me if someone isn't attracted to me or my body, I will find someone that is Amen to that!!!!!!!!

Ever wonder why there are so many "why don't men like larger ladies" threads? Is it really necessary for larger ladies to sling mud and accuse those "not so large ladies" of having the personality of a gnat? I respect you for your choice to be whatever size you are. Please respect mine. |

I choose to stay in shape and feel it is unfair for someone to bash me for it based on the preferences of others. |

Has anyone ever ask a women why she is overweight? I took care of my husband for over 6 yrs. He had a lot of health problems and had alzheimers..Plus I volunteered at that veterans clinic and spent time with my gkids...The stress of being a caregiver is so bad on a persons body.. After my husband passed I got myself into a fitness program and I have lost 50 lbs. I still have a few lbs to go but I am working on it..Didn't get there overnight and not coming off overnight. On top of that I lost my mother in Oct. It almost shut me down completely.. Even though I carry a few extra lbs yet( and I put this in my profile) I always dress nice. I am a nice person and always laugh and try to always be there for my friends..I am active(see my profile)and work out 3-4 times a wk...I have been on a couple of dates and no one has mentioned my weight. There are some nice guys out there. They know that at least I am trying...

people need to learn to use tact. being honest is great but there are better ways to say things without even sugar coating them.
these just pit women against each other. AGAIN the grass is NOT always greener on the other side before these threads go around yet again....stop and think that I don't have it any easier than anyone and the skinny jokes from previous threads can be done without. I wouldn't make jokes like that. they are hurtful and just as offensive |

Trust me... being skinny, and some people's versions of sexy is not all it's cracked up to be....
After too many years of drooling wannabes dripping off your ankles, it gets kinda pukey...cause all they want is the skinny body that they think is sexy... they don't notice the incredibly LARGE woman that resides within. |

It's pretty sad when this thread was directed towards men and asking them why it is so important for women to be skinny, and it turns into a cat fight between women
