It would have to happen on Easter Sunday, wouldn’t it, that the 4,000th American soldier would die in Iraq. Play me that crazy preacher again, will you, about how maybe God, in all his infinite wisdom, may not exactly be blessing America these days. Is anyone surprised? 4,000 dead. Unofficial estimates are that there may be up to 100,000 wounded, injured, or mentally ruined by this war. And there could be up to a million Iraqi dead. We will pay the consequences of this for a long, long time. God will keep blessing America.
And where is Darth Vader in all this? A reporter from ABC News this week told **** Cheney, in regards to Iraq, “two-thirds of Americans say it’s not worth fighting.” Cheney cut her off with a one word answer: “So?”

“So?” As in, “So what?” As in, “F*** you. I could care less.”

I would like every American to see Cheney flip the virtual bird at the them, the American people. Click here and pass it around. Then ask yourself why we haven’t risen up and thrown him and his puppet out of the White House.

yes, people die while fighting wars. Yes, there has been a lot of controversy concerning why we entered the country. As i said in a previous post... We can't end the war. It will continue. But, if we decide to run like cowards and let the iraqi people take the fall for a broken promise, it would turn this conflict into a left-wing self fullfilling prophecy where everyone, both iraqi and american, suffer all the negative consequences from this event, and no one gets to benefit from the positive results that would derive from success. We are succeeding. As i have said before ABC, CNN, etc. can kick rocks. According to soldiers that aren't first filtered through some media, about 85%ish of iraq is controlled by their millitary. Troops are coming home starting with the ones sent in for the surge (which was successful). This is, and should be, a slow process, the reason for which is appearent to anyone that has any tactical knowledge. As well as the fact that they don't want to announce the withdrawl. Such an announcement would cause a surge in violence. So, sit tight, let the soldiers do their job, and don't worry this will be over sooner than later.

ok, in response to the story.... the word "so" sounded heartless. But when you think about it it wasn't directed at the fact that the dead soldiers didn't matter. I think it was more of an attack against anti-war propoganda. Should have thought before he spoke. but i do understand the anger at people who continually prance around the american soldier death toll like the war is turning into some big tragety. 4000 dead, is a terrible terrible thing. I've seen some die. I've lost friends. They will never be forgotten. But to have someone dance around that tally as to say "look at what the republicans did!" is a HUGE disgrace to them all. It makes me want to choke somebody, as it does most that have fought. Why don't we ever hear about the tally we racked up? You know, killed/captured/wounded (numbers are probably closer to 150,000 or 300,000), terrorists and insurgents? Or how about the fact that the insurgents are targeting civilians more often then soldiers. How about the fact that they attack the Iraqi soldiers more often then anybody? Or the fact that now the Iraqi populace has more freedom than they have ever gotten used to? Oh yeah, forgot, it would be detrimental to the democratic agenda. Insteead the media is busy trying to make people feel bad about the "mistreated" terrorists and insurgents and Abu Grhaib, which is a story that (A) never should have made it to the media, and (B) received an unfair investigation.

Yes, Cheney should have been more politically correct. Yes, Clinton should have kept her mouth shut instead of using our dead soldiers as leverage in her campaign.

God should never be spoken of as his name used as a weapon. Do you think it is God's will that anyone should not live a full life for him?

how is this genocide? It's more of a prevention of genocide. To Pull out would cause genocide.

As far as the genocide is concerned....the whole thing about us killing a million iraqis isn't possible. It's the media manipulating statistics. At least i havent seen it. So unless they stopped only when i was there, then that is bogus info. Second we never carpet bombed the place. This is why most of their structures were in tact from earlier. Third, we are feeding them. Fourth, they are recieving better medical attention than they ever have. Fifth, (this is where i partially agree with you), without having a ruthless leader the different religious clans are attacking the hell out of eachother. Not to mention that terrorist cells are moving there to keep us from establishing a democracy (they are failing even though Iran and Syria are backing them). We are preventing a massive outbreak of a civil war my friend. We pull out....millions will die, then another dictator takes over. Chances are one that is buddy buddy with Iran since their military is helping with the insurgency. Yes, we are preventing a massive genocide. To that we owe gratitude to the men and women on the ground, and to the 4,000 that have died in their efforts. "All gave some, some gave all." Here's to those that sacrificeddrinker We can never repay our debt to them.

out of 26 million who live in Iraq it is estimated 2 million have fled the country and conservitave estimates put deaths at a million. factor in deaths from other causes be it unclean drinking water lack of medical care, malnutrition due to damag to the infrastructure and I would say 2 million is more like it , so 4 million out of 26 million, if they were an animal they would be on the endangered species list

those 2 million were wise to flee. It was a dangerous situation since insurgents are attacking civilians. Minimal damage was caused to infastructures. I don't care what media says otherwise. More of them would have died from malnurishment under saddam's regime. Anyone, these people are better nurished, and have better medical attention than they ever have. They did not die as a result from us. I'm telling you, they are better taken care of now then they are used to. In fact, most of our mission there is humanitarian. I know this because i've lived it/ seen it/ done it.
