I'm a bit puzzled how any of these stories are in any way related to politics. I'd have to reply that that is the point. They aren't. The thread is a break from politics, and they are still current events and news. Ahhh. I see Fear posted, I missed it. Missed you, Jist. |

http://www.twincities.com/ci_8704240?nclick_check=1 Abigail Taylor, girl injured in pool-drain accident, dies http://www.twincities.com//ci_8651186?IADID=Search-www.twincities.com-www.twincities.com This one is very sad! "The world's a lesser place today," he said tearfully. Abigail was swimming in the kiddie pool at the Minneapolis Golf Club on June 29 last year when her buttocks became lodged in an open pool drain. The resulting suction removed much of her small intestine and caused other internal injuries. It's been a prolonged series of surgeries and medical battles ever since. Abigail could only receive daily nutrition through a feeding tube, but returned to elementary school for a few days in the fall. The formula caused her liver to fail, though. In December, Abigail received a multiple-organ transplant of a new liver, small bowel and pancreas. She suffered complications from the transplant, including a transplant-related cancer that resulted in her need for chemotherapy. |
