So how many people in here are still good friends with their ex... i know with me i have not had a lot of g/f's and was engaged once, but i am still pretty good friends with most, except for 1, who broke up with me by leaving a message on my answering machine saying she had been cheating on me for 2 months, and never wanted to see me again.

I do not think he considered me a friend while we were married and I know he is not my friend

i still talk to my very first bf when i was 16, and we have known each other for 27yrs. there are a few others im still good friends with... as for my ex hubby, there isent much of communication, only time that would be if there was a issue with his son,

wow, must have been some really burned bridges then, either that or i am to nice a person... go figure When a bridge burns the fire has to be fanned or given fuel to keep burning....most of us all start out nice and then the gloves come off......in other words, we are still nice people and the bridge get burned so they connaot come back and do more damage.........

My ex husband I would not talk to except for my daughter.
The ex love of my life - I still talk to him frequently. He left me because he really had to ..at least in his own mind..he couldn't be away from his kids, even though they are adults..I care enough about him to understand that..so we are friends. |

wasn't implying that people aren't nice, but i guess a lot depends on how things ended. I mean if you are up front with me and honest, then i dont see why people cannot remain friends. Now if you lie to me or cheat on me, then i can become quite the as*****

I have an ex that is one of my best friends, her children were involved with me for the five years we were together. When we broke up, I'd have to say we were quite mature about it, and I've been in their lives since. I've known them for a least twelve years, and one's about to start college. Sometimes respect doesn't die, and we're much better friends now!!

I am still friends with my ex..why not? We do have children together and I want to show my boys that just because we can't live together, that doesn't mean that we didn't love each other at one time. Hate is a very strong word and I hate no-one..life is way to short to have those kinds of feelings!
