so me and one of my friends cant agree on which is better..
a paying dating site..or a free dating site..

we both agree there are different people on a paying website for dating but we can agree if there are better people on a dating website!


a free website any crazy can join but so can a crazy with money on a pay site!

I think JSH is the only one worth even looking at.... Checked out others, both free and paying, and the people here are the best!

The pay site would be focused on dating & matching people, so the pay site is better, some friends of mine are on them & they go on dates... To each their own I guess

By far, free is the way to go. Anyone can join a free site and anyone can join a paid site, but there is not one paid site that I know of that is better than this site. One thing the JSH site does not have that the paid sites do have and that is scammers, at least from what I can tell. No "send me money I am poor Nigerian" on this site! That is so refreshing!

People always say you get a better selection with those willing to pay.. I don't see it... I think JSH is an awesome site to make friends and possibly more but no matter what the friendships made are so wonderful....

I was going to try a pay site, but couldn't get the computer to take the money it just kept spitting it out.

So, I think the free sites are better!!! Except I'm still single, Hmmmmmmm?

Having experienced both:

1.) The pay site was a LOT better insofar as local people contacting me. I was on there 3 months, and was contacted by 174 of their members, the vast majority of them local. Of the 174 who contacted me, 170 were immediately eliminated because they either did not read or understand my profile. Had they done so, they never would have written to me.

The 4 who made the first cut were eliminated within a week for "other reasons," usually involving creepy behavior and/or outrageous demands.

2.) Most free sites are useless because there are too many scammers/spammers/fakes/trolls/etc. which are not conducive to actually meeting anybody.

3.) JSH is unique in that the overall quality of the people here is better than on the other sites I've tried. This is countered, to some extent, by the fact that the locals have never talked to me at all; so how "good" they are is pretty much irrelevant.

My bottom line -- it's a choice between bad locals I don't want to talk to (pay site) or possibly much better locals who won't talk to me (JSH). It's a rather meaningless distinction, in the long run, because it all amounts to exactly the same thing in the end.

There are crazy sick people with money to pay for a paid-for dating service, ya know!!!! Money DOES NOT equal quality!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
