"supposed" to be vague, possibly metaphoric, open to interpretation.........perhaps farming "whole" beaches, trying every one. actually no secret...spent 4 years of childhood in midwest learning to ride horses, drive tractors and trucks, a hard days work, support your family/friends/community, keep your word, etc. then moved back to Cali and it's amazing how similar the loyalty, and work hard-play hard factors are One foot in the field....one in the sand (with equal affection)

I love the folk tale, I am very self sufficent like the hen in the story, looking for someone to share with, not support.I am from the Delmarva Pennisula, where one of the biggest industries is chicken farming, I was once told I am like a little banty hen. I have red hair, this suits me on so many levels. I have been using this handle for about 15 years now.
