Little Girl

I saw your heart was open,
So I peeked inside.
What I found was startling
And almost made me cry.

I saw the visions of your past,
Of how you've been betrayed,
I couldn't help but notice there,
A little girl that prayed.

Her little prayer was simple
So sweet and filled with truth,
I caught myself adoring her
Before my eyes met you.

You never knew just what I saw
But then you never asked
You thought I fell in love with you
Now that's all but past.

Godspeed to you my friend
I hope you journey well
Don't forget to care lil girl
For life's not at the end.

One of your best faded... interesting how the end doesn't rhyme...
