Don't feel bad, hikerchick, it's the same with short guys. Gotta have faith, there's someone for everyone. Not being stereotypical for what the opposite sex is looking for can be lonely, but it also means that when you finally meet that person it will be something more special and definite because you know they like you for you and not for your exterior. I have a dear friend who is 5'8" and he told me that some women won't even talk to him because he is too short. He was on a site where you could see if someone deleted your e-mail and he said most of his were deleted without being read. Which is sad, because he is smart and sweet. But they saw only his exterior. I wouldn't mind if I could kiss the top of my sweetie's head.  Try kissing on the stairs!

Height, weight...these things pale in comparison to the measure of a person's character..their depth, intelligence, empathy- what was described to me as EQ - emotional IQ..these things are what truly matter to me, and they are the things that are going to matter to the person I am seeking. I couldn't be with anyone who does not have strong character, humor, and intelligence. You need a sense of humor to put up with a chick like me. |

I know, right? When one of the least shallow guys on here , who has helped to restore my faith in men, admits that physical attractiveness is a crucial factor..well, I am doomed. Attraction is purely subjective. All true, as Lilith states it.. Her pictures were a bit concealing at first. But to say that her physical beauty does not factor into my attraction? That would be inaccurate. The first aspect of her physically, that truly got my attention? Was not visual at all. It was her voice. She does not even know that.. Well, now she does. After that? I would have cared less if I was gonna go meet Quasimodo. ________________________________________________ Hiker.. Any guy that thinks you are unattractive? Needs to have his eyes checked or is stuck on stupid. You deserve the guy that thinks and feels you are everything he has always wanted in a woman, ruling out all other women from the equation. I'm certainly not that guy..simply because that is a fair description of what I feel for Lilith. You are ruled out. There are men out here that will see you in that light. He is certainly worth the wait. |
