Jon likes to cook and he is good at it. I mean, I can cook too but if he likes it so much....why take away his joy?? And the cleaning we can split 50/50, if he cooks I will clean the dishes.

I can't cook AT ALL (without fires, explosions, earthquakes, locust swarms, that sort of thing), so she will have to do the cooking. And I really have no objections to hiring somebody to clean the house, either.

Wow. Lexy- you fit into one of MY dealbreakers... laugh

It was bound to happen sooner or later....??

Nothing is ever 50/50 ... one day it's 100/0, another 30/70, etc. some prefer to clean, some prefer to cook, some prefer outside work, some inside work, sometimes one is busier at work than the other....long as it all evens out.

However, my sister consistently comes home with the vehicle on "E", her husband drives 10 miles to the gas station to fill it up....yep, the one that she just passed coming home and will pass again in the morning...noway

He also puts her toothpaste on her toothbrush every morning and night for her as he's doing his own...noway noway

And when their son was 4, he said he wanted a sweeper for Christmas "just like Daddy's!!"...noway noway noway

No...he doesn't have any brothers...

Eileen... I'm just devastated. Truly.

Hey LookinRound how are ya lady?

I agree about the chores. I despise vacuuming but really love to do laundry and iron. I asked Jistme the other day how he felt about sorting socks though...

Who would be responsible for cooking the meals and cleaning the house? Assume you both work. Would it be truly 50/50? Or over the years would it not be so balanced?

get the frack out of my kitchen...! pick up the slack somewhere else with the chores....

myself i don't think its so much who's responsible or who does more but just when you see something that needs to be done within your skill level then do it instead of walking by it hoping it will clean ,mow, fix itself.as for cooking i am a microwaver so the guy would have to cook real food.
