Jon likes to cook and he is good at it. I mean, I can cook too but if he likes it so much....why take away his joy?? And the cleaning we can split 50/50, if he cooks I will clean the dishes.

wow two dishes and ya stick him with the pans and silverware.pure genius!!

SSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHH!!! Not so loud, or he will figure it out!!laugh

Eileen... I'm just devastated. Truly.

Hey LookinRound how are ya lady?

I agree about the chores. I despise vacuuming but really love to do laundry and iron. I asked Jistme the other day how he felt about sorting socks though...

Well.. If you save them over a month, like you apparently did this time? I'd probably end up buying new socks.

I'd clean. I'm not much of a cook. I'd like to learn, though. I can clean and mow and wash and fold clothes. My last wife had Alzheimers and I ended up doing it all and bathing her and dressing her. She could walk and talk and that was about it. But, I still loved being with her. I wish she was still here. I did not mind in the least. When Doris was well, she did a lot of the housework. I took out trash and mowed the lawn for the most part. Now, I'd do everything, but would appreciate help. I'd have to be taught how to cook, though, or learn how. I'm not much of a cook. I can nuke ramen and dish out ice cream with the best of them, though!

myself i don't think its so much who's responsible or who does more but just when you see something that needs to be done within your skill level then do it instead of walking by it hoping it will clean ,mow, fix itself.as for cooking i am a microwaver so the guy would have to cook real food.

This is how I feel also. I guess my chores would be pretty tradtionally divided, I love cooking, prefer to clean my way, but would love a guy to be able to do car stuff & home improvements. I am willing to help, but don't have much knowledge or skill in those areas.
