I'm so sorry that ur daughter had to passed such a horrible experience.
But my prayer will be for your daughter to recover for such a experience, and for her to find the strenght to overcome. That monster will have his punishment either this life or the other. |

Since I believe the more facts/information one has, the more one is able to pray specific prayers, I'm going to give it to you the way it is. So, if this is TMI, forgive me. I just want those who want to pray for a specific need to know for what/who they are praying. The 12th of this month (Wednesday) the state of Arkansas will be trying to convict my EX-husband of Rape of a Minor, which is a class Y felony. He raped our daughter numerous times from the tender age of 12 until she ran away from home last year at the age of 16. Now, naturally, I knew NOTHING of the horrendous things he did to her, or we would have been gone. The day after he was arrested, I heard his 30-minute taped confession stating that the things she was claiming were indeed true. Here's the catch: because of mishandling of the Miranda rights and I'll just be blunt with you....STUPIDITY of the arresting officer, the tape will not be used, which is HUGE! The conviction has to be unanimous--12 of 12 jurors vote guilty. He was tried several months ago and the trial was ruled a mistrial as the jurors were deadlocked at 10-2. Please, please pray that my daughter will remember specific information that will convince a jury, that the jury be attentive, the judge be on his toes and well rested, that the prosecuting attorney will pick up on anything/everything that may sway the case to a favorable close. If he is NOT convicted..........there will be yet another pedifile roaming about, looking for a life to destroy. Thank you in advance, Teresa

Thank you, Debbie. One (I) is tempted to pray biased, but I do want justice to be done. My daughter and I have a lot of emotions to dig and sort through. We have even gone through trouble between ourselves because I am furious and she says, "Well, he was ok when he wasn't doing that." I cannot for the life of me how she can separate the monster and the man............. Therein lies the problem love. The molester and the molested usually have a connection. They usually have a hard time disconnecting. They (the child) feels guilt for them being in trouble. They were lured into believing they cared for them. Be careful and loving with her. She only knows what she thinks she knows. This will be hard for her to determine its cause. There will be kind and unkind thoughts that will be hard for her to unravel and clear up in her mind. You might try and research what it is like for the child of a molester or anyone who has been in her shoes. I know her. I am her. Kat |

I ache for you and the untold millions of children this has happened to. I am SO angry I cannot begin to tell you just how angry I am. I feel helpless when it comes to helping my daughter.

We leave @ 6 in the morning to get to our destination by 8:00. I will then (my daughter and son went today for briefing) be briefed and watch the (my) testimony tape from last time.
Pray for a unanimous vote, and a speedy verdict of GUILTY! The last trial was ruled a mistrial because of a deadlocked jury and a vote of 10:2 at 9 PM. So...........we've got to be drug through all of this again. Words cannot convey how much your support and prayers mean to me and to my daughter. Teresa |
