I usually come out feeling worse than I went in.
However my ex and I went before we seperated and here's how it went. Therapist: How long have you guys had these issues? ex: about 3 months me: about 3 years Therapist: What do you want from this therapy ex: I want everything to go back to how it was me: i want everything to change hence why we got divorced.... |

Having had both, I honestly don't know which is worse. Though, a side effect of most cancer therapy is depression, so you get two for the price of one OUCH girlfriend |

I think I would rather have cancer than major depression. (((((Ruthie)))) ((((((Jura)))))))) I don't know about that... i'm thinkin the cancer would put ya in a major depression...but I don't know.... |

Nope, no sorries. I felt sorry for myself for about 5 minutes 11 years ago and then picked myself up and figured out what to do about it. Haven't looked back since.

good for you!!! that's a wonderful way to 'take care of business'

What else you gonna do, really?

good point, not much of another choice huh?

Nope, there really isn't. You can do one of two things, sit around feeling sorry for yourself and give up or not. I chose not. They told me I'd be dead in 3 years, that was 11 years ago. Now, they're saying there's no reason I won't have a perfectly normal and healthy life. Never say never, especially to me

Isn't it scary that the word "therapist" is the same as the words "the" and "rapist" put together?

I've used one and I'm training to be one...

I don't think I would be alive today if I hadn't gone to therapy.

I am a huge advocate for mental illness, and speak freely about my being in therapy and taking medication to treat my depression and anxiety. Because of this, several friends have felt more comfortable seeking the help they needed. We need to get rid of the stigma that goes along with therapy, medication, and mental illness in general!

I've used one and I'm training to be one... well that's great but for me, I hated it when I was in it. Just not my cup of tea. No patience. LOL |
