I met someone on myspace in person at the coffeshop in Terrehaute. We have hit it off pretty well and have a healthy relationship. I am still in school and will graduate in a couple months, then in Aug or Sept I will ship to California for bootcamp for the marines. Last night my g/f (Courtney) hinted that after I graduate we make the next step and move in together. I played dumb and changed the subject.

I've been in a lot of relationships but none of them as serious as this one is getting, and fairly fast at that. While bullets and IDE explosions don't scare me, I'm a little frightened by the idea of living with my girlfriend and striking it on our own.

I realize I have plenty of time to think about it but does anyone have any advice for me?

If your not sure...don't do it! You'll have regrets... if it's true and in the heart, it will still be that way in 6 months or a year... but don't ignore it, talk honestly with her.. it will make for a stronger relationship

let her know how you feel about it. dont avoid the topic because she may misunderstand your actions and take it like you dont care....
open, honest communication I believe it the key to any successful relationship.
good luck

Use really really good birth control. That way, if it doesn't work out, you haven't permanently hurt a new little life.
Other than that, it's worth a shot.

Run at the first sign of commitment? Are you telling me to reinforce the male stereotype?

Stay focused on your life, and enjoying it. Dont make no rash decisions. Once you are comfortable enough in your life, you will not have any questions about sharing it with someone else on that level.drinker

I know you probably dont like to hear, Baby you are so young, and have your whole life ahead; but you are young, and you just dont want to be in a position years from now saying, or thinking about what could have been..... You have to be comfortable with the decisions you choose in your life, and at 19 it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, so you will make the right one for you!!!drinker

Dont rush into it!
I have made that mistake and it can ruin things. Just take ur time and make sure u are completely ready first. Dont just do it for her sake, u have to want it also.
