Do you have friends that talk too much? I have a friend that I avoid phone calls from, because she will try to talk to me for hours on end. I mean, not getting a word in at all! I feel bad for not answering my phone, but sometimes it makes me feel like I'm PMSing.

if she is your friend tell her and gaurantee she will thank you later if not now and you will become true friends, as true friends can tell each other what they think, and you will not have to feel bad at yourself again.....we each bring on our own pain for even no reason at all

I know people who are like that, I dont call them friends because they want an audience, not a friendship. I am honest with those folks and let them know that when Im in the mood to be entertained by their senseless banter I will sit dow, drown myself in alcohol and spend a few hours listening to them. Otherwise, they shouldnt take it personally when I dont return their calls.

She refuses meds, I know this because she took an hour to tell me.

lol kinda depends on my mood at the time... I try to be nice tho lol but sometimes, they just don't take the hint

I have a friend like that, and sometimes she just won't shut up.
She comes over to my house and brings her Lap Top and play's online poker. She is talking about the game she is playing including all the screams. It is really annoying especially when I am trying to watch the news or something.
Sometimes I am fuming, so I have to go to another room.

I used to talk to this guy and he was dumber than a box or rocks, he called me one morning and the discussion was stupid laws and how they should pay someone to take them off the books, he said that there should be like 10 laws worded just right that would cover everything, I tried and tried to explain to him that laws had to be enterprited, he's a moron...I don't talk to him anymore....(let alone the cost to pay someone, and who are we going to give God status to decide what is a good law and what is a bad law... good his stupidity still rings in my head like a headache)

Just ignore their calls when you aren't up to talking to them.. then call them back when you are ready to talk about drivel...

Kenneth, that is not just annoying, it is rude! I would tell her "I want to watch something on TV. Why don't you go home and play your game where you won't disturb anyone" or "I'm going to bed, so, would you mind leaving. I couldn't sleep with you screaming about your game."
If this is a girlfriend, she is more than rude to do this. Its like, "hi, I want to spend time with you, but, I'm going to play games on my laptop I brought with me, and ignore you."
If she wants to spend time with you, she should leave the laptop at home.
Maybe thats what you should say. "Sure, come on over, but, please leave the laptop at home so we can talk" (watch a movie, listen to music or whatever)
