i still have to say that jesus is not a god i'm sorry. i don't think your right.  He has an ancient world religion named after him doesnt he? I think that qualifys him to be called a god whether you likeit or not bro. Jesus is one of the most popular and succesful gods that have ever existed. Your denying the obvious Are you saying that their isnt a major world religion named Christianity?? Your proving he's a god right now with your own words. Your talking about a man who has been gone for 2000 years

Jesus influenced you to post on this thread saying you believe or disbelieve he's a god and he's been gone for 2000 years. Obviously that name bears some influence on you and the world around you or you wouldnt be here. Whether you believe it or not. He's probably the most famous person that ever lived and probably always will be. Whether you believe it or not He has an ancient religion named after him Jesus is probably the most succesful and popular god ever whether you believe in him or not. Rabbit, down the hole again?  'the son of' is implied in English in all texts. Not there in the Greek. The "SON" of God, Jesus, IS a word present in the Greek texts and is used in conjuction with '-of God'. But you know that. the word used in Luke, which BTW, is implied through the whole of chapter three. now you know. good to see you making people read their Bible, but can't let such a thing go by, Rabbit. The verse begins in Luke 3,23 and is the Genealogy of Jesus. You chose the very last line. The verse before that Luke 3, 22 says as Jesus was baptised .and the Holy Spirit descended upon him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven "you are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased." wabbit, you can't just go by 1 verse. It just doesn't work that way. Good try though.

It seems that most of you just want to discuss mysticism. Not comparitve religion. Debating mystcism is akin to a man, wounded by an arrow, wanting to know all the details of being wounded by an arrow. The Buddha said that.

my "personal" belief is that they are one in spirit but two different being working as one...All three(father,son,holy spirit) work as one in some way unknown to myself...the bible talks about Jesus being a created being {col:15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation} then it talks about him being with God (john:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning.)then at the end of revelation they talk about worshiping God and Jesus (Rev 22:3 The throne of God AND of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve HIM.) If God and Jesus are embodied within each other why wouldnt it say Gods throne was just there????? By reading the bible I fully understand that if you've seen Jesus you've seen God, he walks, talks, thinks and acts according to God ways.....I guess the best way to describe how I feel about God and Jesus is marraige, the bible talks about the two becoming one flesh,even know a married christian couple is two people the bible states the two become one and some how I think this reflects God and Jesus in a way( I hope I havent confused anyone lol I find it hard to explain myself sometimes) I say that to say its all still a mystery to how the heavens work so Im not sold on the idea  I guess stay tuned more will be revealed john10: 31 Again the Jews picked up stones to stone him, 32but Jesus said to them, "I have shown you many great miracles from the Father. I thought this was a cool text about God and Jesus:
cor 15:24-28 Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. 25For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. 26The last enemy to be destroyed is death. 27For he "has put everything under his feet."[a] Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. 28When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all. I just dont think they are the same being...to many scrpitures like this one in the bible... |

DUDE, HE HAS A RELIGION NAMED AFTER HIM, JUST LIKE THE BUDDHA. BILLIONS OF PEOPLE LOVE AND WORSHIP THEM. THAT MAKES THEM GODS. CANT YOU SEE THE WRITING ON THE WALL??? WHAT DO YOU THINK A GOD IS? Its has survived much worse. Just look in a history book.
