I'm curious what other people think about young people, like myself, taking on Entreprenuerialship (starting your own business). Do you think the idea is great, and that it shows a good ethic and drive, or just that the person is lazy?

I've only had a few 9to5 jobs but I've realized it just isn't for me, I'm a business man at heart and im in the business of helping people. This is the best way, in my opinion, to help people while providing a secure future for my future family.

Go getem, its not easy ,but there is a big pay off in what you accomplish!

I think the word "lazy" is for the dreamers and schemers, not the ones who actually have a dream and work it. The get rich quick ones and those who think they can sit back and rake it in give the others a bad rap.

After recent events I'm moving very slowly, but I'm still young and dumb and I know I'll make alot of mistakes including who I can and can't trust.

You can subsist working for someone else; there are no boundaries working for yourself.

Some people frown on the fact it is a big risk doing it, but for people like me I just can't see any other way to live life than to take control.

why would it show you were lazy? It'd show you have the initiative to start your own business, at least. I think it's a good thing to do and if it proves profitable, you should continue. If not, start something else. Some entrepneurs I've heard of have failed a few times before they get a successful concept going. But, with a good enough concept, you ought to be able to make a decent go of it. Retired Senior Businessmen and small business advisors can give you help with your concept, as can the local chamber of commerce, chamber of industry and even the tourism council (they know people). Good luck-ski! And remember to vote Republican. Republican presidents, governors and legislators tend to promote business friendly policies and keep taxation low.
