Are you sure it's the pipe leaking and not water coming up from underneath somewhere? A 6 inch PVC pipe in the basement is a drain pipe - no pressure and no reason to leak. It takes a LOT to bust or crack a PVC pipe. Sounds like a ground water problem to me JT. i dunno,unless it's the concrete "sweating" but that's a whole lot of sweat.usually when it sweats,it just gets damp.

No JT, that's a LEAK fer sher. You don't get water pooling unless there's a serious problem. It's spring, the snow is starting to melt but the ground is still too frozen to absorb it... so the water goes wherever it can. Into your basement! It might be a leaky pipe, or a cracked joint somewhere. Anything is possible. Until you get the water out of there you won't be able to tell where the new stuff is coming from. Well I gotta go eat. it's a 13 yr old kid that is annoying the hell out of me!. i would just knock the crap out of him but i don't need the police involved,so i need a more civil way of getting rid of him

he keeps coming down here trying to con me out of things.he tried conning me out of my cd player lastnight and now he's trying to con me out of my PS2

Sounds to me like he's bored and needs someone to pay attention to him. You might try seeing if he wants to do something, play cards or a video game or something.
