Butler to describe discrimination against seniors and patterned on sexism and racism[2]. The term has also been used to describe discrimination against teens and children, by ignoring their ideas because they're young or by assuming that they should behave a certain way because of their age. I'm 52 hitting 53. I get more attitude and lip from the 16 - 25 age group than anything else. But then that goes with the job as well. But I do ask myself at times why in that age group I get more thieves, vandals etc. All with limited vocabularies (same foul language out of all of them), all with the attitude that flattening a 52 year will make them big. Only when cuffed and on arrival of police do they change attitudes. Hmmm. Must be because I'm a rude person when I advise them that they are charged with ___________ and inform them that they are under arrest. Ummmm would that be ageism on my part categorizing them within those limits? I don't want to offend anyone in that age group. I call it statistics from the job. |

Please let me remind all to keep with the topic. At no time should there be any lashing out at another for there views.
We all have an opinion that should and could be heard as well as the next person. Just because one person thinks one way we will not all see life the same way. Please keep topics within a debate and do not attack another for there views. As far as the topic it was listed Why do SOME. It did not say all but yes it is true this goes for all age groups for I see it in the younger genaration as well. Why some end up this way in life is due to the things each person has to deal with. So with that in mind please remember to keep it in a type of debate form. Do not direct your statements towards another. Keep to the topic in hand and list your reasons why you think things are the way they happen to be. NO ONE is wrong in there thoughts we just all do not see eye to eye. Have a great Saturday!
