I don't think there is anything wrong with it as long as everyone is honest; but it may lessen your motivation to find someone. Also, if I met just the perfect person I might feel kind of embarrassed about the piece on the side I have been dipping into. Even if I didn't tell, I would know.

Nothing at all wrong w/a buddy .... atleast not in my opinion . Be sure that your intention are very clear with this person and that an emotional attachment doesn't develop .
