Where are you getting your iformation from? The magic eight ball? As far as true statistics on illegal aliens receiving benefits the governemtn states it is not happening at all. As far as you stating "as for the 20 somethings..." You are doing nothing except looking up the census for the number of 20 somethigns in the us, and using that. Or at least that is what I believe you are doing. DANIEL...... Although your post was not directed to me, I would like to answer it. Here are some facts on illegal immigration. One of the reasons people are against the illegals is because many, but not all Mexican women sneak into the US and come into the emergency rooms of our public hospitals to deliver their new baby. Once the baby is born in an American hospital, that child is entitled to attend American schools. That child also has the right to free medical care, food stamps, cash benefits, and any other government programs. Yes, please note I said "the right." It does not matter that these Mexican women broke the law to come into these emergency rooms. It doesn't matter that they conspired to have their babies born in an American hospital to get citizenship, welfare and the rest. These facts are ignored by our government, and our laws permit the babies of these Mexican women to be a burden on the American taxpayer from virtually craddle to grave. In connection with the above, public hospitals, not private, cannot turn anyone away who needs medical care. These illegals are very much aware of that. I saw a documentary that showed how five days a week on the Mexican side of the border, hundreds and hundreds of Mexican children line up to cross the border. Once they are on the American side, American school buses are waiting to take them to American schools. In some of the border states, because of illegals, children are being taught out of trailers -- not the Mexican children, but American children. Why are the American children being taught out of trailers in lieu of the Mexican children whose parents are not paying any taxes? The reason is America might be perceived as racist since Mexicans are not considered white; they are Hispanic. So, screw the American children. These overburdened border cities cannot build new schools to accommodate these children of illegals because in most states, schools are funded by taxpayer dollars. When a city/state is over flooded with children of illegals who are not paying taxes, then there are not enough taxpayers to provide funds to build needed schools. Many American hospitals located in border cities have been forced to close down, because of illegals who do not have the money or health insurance to pay for medical attention. Sadly, many Americans in those border cities have died in ambulances on the way to hospitals, because the ambulances have to travel an inordinate amount of time to get to a hospital since the nearby hospitals were forced to close because of the burden of illegals. Also, Americans have to keep off certain highways/roads at night in areas that are populated with illegals, because of criminal illegals putting people in danger of their lives and property. Unfortunately, many illegals, not all, who come to this country are criminals and think nothing of murdering Americans for a few dollars. Additionally, illegals have no problem about driving without a license and causing multiple automobile accidents, thereby killing people. Tonight in the news, a 24 year old illegal female driving without a license killed four people. And where is she now? In an American hospital with her bills being paid as a reward for killing four people! I could go on and on, but this is turning into an epic.  Got a friend who was hit by an illegal driving a car, hammered, with an open vodka bottle, he had no liscence, and no insurance. The guy hit my friend and someone else driving. The cop, after questioning the guy for afew minutes let him go and he stumbled down the street. My friend was stuck paying the deductable and his insurance payed all the damages. The is definately something wrong with that.

Sadly we have come to a point where someone can win the nomination without saying anything of any substance at all. Of course, the other option is the Clintons again. Were that to happen you can kiss America as you know it goodbye. Should Obama win we will only shoot words at our enemies when they kill us. Maybe its all the free stuff he promises that only 50% of us have to pay for because the other 50% pays NO TAXES. So I ask you, when all of us that pay taxes get fed up and say screw you what will all the mooches do? How will you survive without our money since you have learned to sit around and feel sorry for yourselves and whine you need help rather than get out and EARN YOUR OWN $$$$/HEALTHCARE INSURANCE. Maybe you could stop buying all that designer label clothing $500 Starter Jackets and $250 sneakers rolling phat on 22" Dubs with your $5000 car stereo blasting nothing but talentless noise and PAY FOR IT YOURSELF. Of the so called 45 million Americans without healthcare insurance, 20 million are NOT Americans, the are illegal aliens. Then we have the 20 somethings that buy all the above BS rather than insurance because there is no fun in paying bills and the "Im not going to get sick" attitude. That crowd accounts for about 16 million so that leaves us with 4 million, most of which are on state/federal medical coupons anyway. You want socialism? I have some friends that this same senario happened. I don't know if the guy was drunk, but I do know he was Nigerian. Turns out all his paperwork was falsified. The police didn't know that until after they let him go, I suppose. Now, what does that say about our illegal immigration issues? 
Leahmarie, your opinion is well thought out and presented well here. One thing I would like to point out is, we must secure our borders before focusing on the people all ready here or coming in. Criminal element not withstanding, most of the people are just wanting a better life for their families, and I agree it a strain. We can not stop the influx until the borders are secured. The tax dollars spent on these folks will not stop until the borders are sucure. Our lives will be no safer. But, that Nigerian probably didn't crawl across the border in the dead of night or come over in the back of a cargo van. Accountability of those let in "legally" must be brought to the forefront, too. I just think I see a bigger picture. I wish I was smart enough to have a bigger answer! Nan

What?! It boggles my mind that the cop let him go. 
There are illegals in my city. I have a Hispanic friend whose live-in gf came over illegally - just in time to have the baby. She's had a few more since then. He brought his other children from his first wife here illegally. He has 10 kids. He has worked hard - 3 jobs at once -to send money back to his elderly parents because they don't have Soc. Sec. or retirement monies. They are good to me and they are hard workers - even opened a restaurant. It puts me in a bad place knowing that the gf and some of his children are not legal. They don't have car insurance though. He has told me that alot of them don't. |

Farrakhan repeatedly makes hate-filled statements targeting Jews, whites, America, and homosexuals. A man is known by the company he keeps. Obama is married to a woman who made the statement that she has never been proud of America in her entire adult life until this point in time wherein her husband is running for president. Mrs. Obama's remarks show disdain for America and are clearly those of a racist. Consider this woman Obama chose to marry and the fact that he has aligned himself with Wright and Farrakhan, two men who are not only anti-American but also racists, one can only come to the conclusion that Obama himself is anti-American and racist. Go to one of his speeches, and you will hear it from him first hand. You will find that all of the things I have said are true. I have heard Farrakhan speak. You need to do the same. Please don't refer to people as "False Jews." That is a terrible thing to say. One thing you need to know is that you cannot judge a person by his/her race/religion/ethnicity/whatever. In order to know whether you do or do not like a person, you need to know that person, talk to that person, and find out what makes that person tick. Then you can make a judgement. Making blanket judgements like you are doing is prejudice. |

I think several people missed my point back there. I am all against illegal aliens using our benefits and our system, etc.
the problem I had, was that a poster, I forget who now, stated specific numbers and statistics which were impossible for him/her to have had. Especially the one about illegal aliens on welfare. Yes we all know it is happening, and that they are using our system. But there are nos statistics on how many are doing so, as the government keeps it all hushed up and claims vehemently that illegal aliens do NOT receive benefits. Now, i happen to think that in the case of women coming over to have babies on this side of the border should be turned away. period. And any child born on this side of the border should not automatically be a citizen with rights etc, unless his/her parents are here legally in the first place. I also do not believe we should be providing schooling for all these kids from across the border, unless ours are being schooled first and foremost. Now I know theres a couple people who are going to accuse me of discrimination, but you know what? It's not discriminatory to expect the laws to be followed by everybody. it is not discriminatory, to expect people to be turned away if they do not have the legal right to something. Is their situation worse than ors if they stay over there? Possibly, yes. But that does not mean we have the capabilities of taking them in and such. |

Then let's go after the criminal element that are here illegally since it would be impossible to deport all the illegals. Hey, here's a novel idea, how about going after the American companies that go to Mexico to recruit workers,? I dont how many of you have worked with undocumented aliens or even know one, but I have and I knew many that were promised jobs as long as the could cross the border "no questions asked"... They come here because the work is here...take away the jobs and the wont come.... Its a well known fact that undocumented workers are hired by big business yet how many are busted every year for committing a crime??? ZERO... |
