if your happy with what you look like and the weight that your at then your perfect and need not worry about the rest of the world! i ain't happy with my weight so i'm on a diet! i wont to loss at least ten pounds! and then i might be happy! as for my question, you all made it seem like you want me to just go out and commit suicide! well this is one Marine that won't even thing of it! i fight so you can be you!!!! so think of this! the average Marine is overweight, not by our standards but by the MARINES STANDARDS!!! can any one of you do 20 pullups, run 3 miles in 18 minutes, and 100 situps in 2 minutes! that is the perfect PFT!!! that's no matter your age, height, or weight! males at that! female have to hang for 70 seconds instead of doing pullups!!! and thier run is 21 minutes!!! see if you can do that!!! i do it every week!!!!! CAN I BE A MARINE?????????? I do 35 pull-ups every morning in two minutes, can do 400 situps before I poop out, and run a mile in two and a half weeks. Only bar I cannot cross to be a marine is I am just an above average weight old man

I certainly dont want to ruffle feathers, but I feel the need to comment here. I am far from perfect, and I embrace my imperfections as a part of me. While it is true that people carry weight different, everyone knows what average is implying, which is why there is also a few extra pounds category. Pretending to be that which you are not is only harming yourself. Be happy with you, and proudly fly your true flag. The only thing you do is give people like that ammunition to attack you instead of just accepting who you are. When you accept yourself for you, others will certainly be more accepting of you as well. It isn't a knock by any means, and he was certainly out of line with his post, as some of you are with your responses. Responding to hate with hate only breeds more hate, even if you feel you are in the right. Remember at the end of the day if you are truly hapy within yourself, nobody elses opinion matters. |

that is the min. to enlist! not the required to graduate!!! and the weights are female then male!! thats the kicker!! those are the min. not the required!!!! The weight disparity was actually because the one chart I was looking at was for delayed entry (whatever that is)...I've since edited them out. The minimum requirements once you're enlisted are: *drumroll please* 3 pull ups (where can I get the strength for 1 more?!) 45 crunches in 2 minutes (still 2 minutes! sheesh!) 3 miles in 29:00 (That's nearly a 10 minute mile!!!) The numbers you cited were impressive, but they reflect the very highest possible score in the marines...clearly the minimums are far less impressive. And seriously if you do those respectable amounts/times every single day then you are lying about your body type...you would be athletic, not average. |

Just ask her what is average to her, maybe she will then tell you. or maybe ask for a full picture shot of her. I put one of me up in my jammies looking bad so everyone can see me at my worst before they talk to me....lol

i realy don't get it! women on here say they are "average" when it is obveuse that they aren't! if your 5'5" the average woman should wiegh in between 112 and 140! not 150 or more! and that;s 5'5"! for the 5'3" woman it is 90 to 128! not 160!!!! i just don't get it. why say your "average" if your not! men do we tell the trueth or am i just one of a kind?! i'm 140 at 5'4". the "average for my highth it 120 to 160! i am average! come on and give me some feed back! Ok found this to be quite amusing - there appears to be a lot of things you dont get, spelling and grammar are among them. And to make an obvious point 5 ft 4 inches is considered short for a man - not average! |

Alright. I read through the whole thread and found it very entertaining. I knew the dude was doomed as soon as I read his post. If you're anything other than touchy-feely nice on here, you get reamed.
I did learn that the "average" AREICAN is overweight. My only comment on fatness is that it is not healthy. Look around. How many OLD fat people do you see? So before you continue to rationalize and make excuses for your fatness, take that into consideration. Or don't you want to be around for your kids? |
