well people this show the shallow side of your minds! i asked a simple question! why do people say that they are average when they aren't? the average AREICAN has more than 26% body fat! the MC height and weight standards only allow us to have 20% bodyfat! and that is questionable! i just wanted to se why, not only females but males too, lie about their weight!!!! i shall never lie to anyone! i was raised defferently and will be the one that tell the trueth! even if people don't like it! you need to deside! am i over weight or am i just happily plump? i like the bigger girls do to all my family is big! i am the exception! so you can take those mean hatefull and rude words and throw them out the window!

in the realm of average...the average american male is 5'9"...164#...has a 34" waistline. I am 5'9"...weigh 175#...and a 30"waistline. My dr told me at my last physical that I need to gain 10 - 15 pounds because I look skinny. does this mean I have to put "fat" on my prof because I weigh above average.



ps: I am the one on the right...my son on the left is 6' and weighs 200#.

that's the thing. people don't have a true concept of where they fall in on the real scale, their on perceptions of weight weigh in too much.

i know a dude who is 220 and 5'2", he believes he's nothing but fat. not obese(or worse)

I agree, somewhat, with the OP (despite his atrocious mangling of the English language).

I see this ploy again and again, and it's not always because they have healthy self-esteem; it's to bypass the match filters. If you are 5'4" and weigh 350lbs (male or female, regardless), then I don't care how you carry it, or how well it's proportioned - it's not going to be pretty, and it's not within the common perception of "average". More rarely seen, but still observable, is the "average" 5'9" walking skeleton.

It's also done with age, but nowhere near as insidiously or frequently.

It's all about misrepresentation; after all, if one cannot be honest & forthright about the basics, it has the effect of causing others to wonder what other subterfuges might exist.

If there is a picture posted why are you complaining about what box was checked off??? You can see for yourself what the person, male or female, looks like.....because believe me, I have seen guys profiles on here that say they are average or a few extra pounds.....and they look like Refrigerator Perry!!!
