When someone is ready......they will break the walls down....until then.....its hard.

But here is a question.....how many hours, days, months, years do people do this???? You know life is short and I see death alot........you have to go for it when its there!!flowerforyou

I used to sit and dream about fallng in love all the time, because I couldn't date in high school. But when the day came, and I turned 18, I fell hard for the first guy I ever truly dated. When he lied and cheated on me, all those feelings of love went out the window, I cheated and used him for personal gain. When we parted ways, I haven't been able to trust or believe in men every since. So, yeah I belive you have to self-protect or else you're going to get screwed by every guy who comes into your life and stays around for more than 3 months.

I know that they say, "It is better to have love and lost, then to never have loved at all." For the people that believe that they have never really lost the "one". Recently I was involved with someone very special to me. It ended up that we are no longer together.brokenheart We are still friends and see eachother often. He tells me that he loves me and is in love with me he just can't be with me. I have done somethings in the past and it affected our relationship. I sabotaged it because I was not used to good. What can I say? Hinesight is 50/50. If I could go back I would fix it. I have told him I never met to hurt him. If I could I would put him in a bubble. Life without him is hard. I want to move on, but find no one there. It is lonely and hard. So to say that it is better to have love and lost then to have never done it is wrong.....try loosing and tell me I am wrong!

Sorry I think you're wrong. You admitted yourself that some of your choices were what sent this south. So, it wasn't the loving that was the problem was it?

And even if you did screw things up, can you honestly say the memories you hold dear are not worth gold to you? Because I screwed up a relationship once and I treasure the times we shared before that happened. Wouldn't trade them for the world.

My life would be far less rich today if I had chosen not to love.

So sorry. We all lose at some point, although many of us may not have ourselves to thank for being the reason for the failure in the relationship. You don't have some kind of patent on lost love hon. Nope. Wish you did.
