Weight problems are not just from over eating, there are alot of factors that contribute. Unless one lives it they do not know it and cannot judge it.

I don't think the point of the bill or our discussion was to judge it. Simply that it can lead to health problems.

Everyone knows the weight is a potential health problem, you cannot not know it in our society today. Some people are going to be larger it is inherent, just as some people are going to be too thin no matter what they do. It is the differences of our bodies. Not a point to discriminate against others. Each of us are the responsibility of our own health. But some health issues are not caused from over eating or weight but will lead to weight on a person. It is just too complicated for others to judge another, period.

some people can't control themselves and other people gain
weight from no sports or walking at all.

The bill won't fix the problem but it may save 1 life.
It could go either way.

The bill will be DOA in the legislature. It's unconstitutional discrimination. While the logic behind it may be debatable, the legality is not. Not everything that saves a life is permitted to be enacted by the government.

Yes, that is what I was saying...we're not discriminating. We're discussing the legality and possible effects of the bill. I think we're on the same page here. drinker

Spending money on educating people and health plans that everyone can afford. And making it possible for low income families to afford the proper food we be a better way to spend money and time instead of trying to control what people do in All you can eat places that by the way. they pay to use also.

why can't low income familys afford nutritional food ?? do they charge different prices for milk cheese and eggs ? the real problem in this country that causes obesity and I work with clients on this all the time ,, I do training ,, is bad eating habbits and PORTIONS

what offended you to think that way? was it the truth that I can back up with proof of what I talk about in my videos lilith 401??? I'm sorry that truth hurts you, but I'm very honest and it's from life's experiences that I talk about what I express myself. That's my right under the 1st Amendment to the Bill of Rights!

No, "handy"... what bothers me is that your "truth" is not truth. It is your opinion. You are surely within your first amendment rights to say whatever you wish.. however I do believe that it is against the specific rules of this site to advertise... and that is what you are doing. You are simply spamming and scamming us all...

I saw your youtube "vedos" and they are propaganda. They were scary... yet hysterical. But disturbing, nonetheless. If you think googling anything and reading about what you find (that fits within your New World Order stance) means you have evidence that something is truth... I'm no longer scared. I'm TERRIFIED.

I heard about it! I don't know how to feel about it. on one hand obese people have no control so buffets are a bad thing, a friend of mine is around 400lbs and is about 5'8" and we go to the Chinese trough and he'll eat three sometimes four times what I do and faster than I do so with that I think these people need help. on the other hand the govt. as far as I'm concerned has no business telling us how to live, but what is better for the obese person?

What do you mean obese people have no control. That is a prejudice comment if I every heard one. Do you think they all run around picking up food where ever it's found and can't control the impulse to stuff them selves?

did you bother to read the Whole thing? From my observation watching My friend grow fatter by the minute because of his lack of control is why I said that. 15 yrs ago he weighed around 200-225 now he's slightly above 400 at 410 to be exact. and he got that way By not practicing Portion Control, overeating and then sitting on his butt falling asleep.

It's not what goes in that's the problem most of the time, it's the emotional baggage that has cause a lot to over eat. Food brings comfort, it's a friend hell it's away to handle emotional or everyday situations. And yes I did read the whole thing and as I stated it is a very complex issue.

i didnt hear anything about this.. do you have a source?

There are a trillion bills every year that are introduced...you never hear about them because they are ridiculous, like this one, and never make it past a primary vote or subcommittee.

Through your fangled english, you seem to be saying that there is a bill being introduced which would stop people from eating out.
Not gonna happen. Primarily because lobbyists will never let it happen, but also because it would be unconstitutional.

this just says stop people from eating out... where does it say anything about obese people???

using spellchecker device" well with our economy so bad and our Dollar being devalued and purchasing price going down along with that. Everything is going up in price but our salary wages are staying, right where they are at for the moment. So it will be hard on everyone to be able to AFFORD to live on what they make in our crashing economy today!!!

it would mean people couldn't feed there kids cupcakes for breakfast, Twinkies for lunch and candy bars for dinner. too many people eat out way too much. what I would like to see happen and this actually could is for the feds to force all fast food restaurants to reserve Half of their menu for healthy nutritional foods. Low fat, low sodium and low carb.

The cost of food to day is outrageous I worked with low-income families and the amount of money that was there to feed their families was in the minds better spent on things such a bulk foods tortillas, beans, fatty meats etc. It's a real serious problem that has been over looked. And in the schools the free lunches that kids are afforded are nothing but junk food.

1st of all lilith401 I can see what you are really trying to do here. 2nd how can I be a scammer when I exposed a scammer in one of my videos? as for the New World Order that you are talking about that you saw me talk about in some of my videos is backed up with proof. Anybody here can go to YouTube and simply type into YouTube's search engine the following -> bush sr talks of new world order <-
and everyone can see for themselves...including you when you type in that search term into YouTube you will see VIDEO EVIDENCE & PROOF of Bush Sr. our former ex president talk about the new world order himself....

Another issue would be that, technically, a HUGE portion of the US is overweight. How would they define obesity? According to the CDC, a 5'9 person over 169 lbs. is overweight and over 203lbs. is obese.

that is by bmi which is not a good measure since by its standards Gov arnold of Ca would be obese...
I explained bmi in an earlier post now I am going to explain the height weight ratio is standardized tables figured mostly by insurance companies using your height and weight and a range that you should fall in ,, they are usually hard to use because I have yet to meet someone that is heavy and say they are small boned but that is another subject
