no thanks steph i can handle myself and what is in the past is in the
past. i don't think you need to worry about making a bad impression in
person , just be yourself. you've seem to made a good impression so far

I have met a few guys that I've hooked up with online.

One came home from Iraq to find me waiting at "Green Ramp" on Pope Air
Force Base with a "Welcome Home, Warrior!" sign ~ LOL. We went to
dinner...we didn't pursue it after that.

Then there is my new interest, inkslingeronyou2, who I met HERE in July.
It's out of control like a wilfdire, and he called at lunch time to tell
me he was booking his airline tickets on the way home from work today!
He's in Ft.Myers, Florida and is coming here to NC the last weekend in
September to hang out with me. I'm SOOO looking forward to it!

I met a women whom lived in Ft Laud Florida when I was in Iowa. 2 years
and a 1200 mile road trip and I moved to Florida with my daughter. 8
months later we are still friends and I live in Orlando now. She is a

i fell in love with my second love online. it wasn't through a dating
site we were in a yahoo chat room and then we just kept chatting all the
time and it eventually led to numbers being exchanged, visiting, etc.
it can work. i've done it and i'd do it again (hence being here).

i am on a couple sites.it is more interesting learning about diferent
backgrounds and making friends.i am talking to one girl on here.i call
her my italian hunny,and a buetiful girl from russia on another site.but
nothing of it.this is a good place to meet people and see there outlook
on different topics."very interesting"went on a couple dates from a
different site,but there insecurity ran me off.i enjoy conversations
from all over the world.i believe if it is meant to be.god will send to
me whether it is on line or real life.

I've met 3...one lived 3 minutes away and it turned out drove by my
house twice a day taking her kids to school, when I told where I lived
she knew the house right away lol..the other 2 I met were from the US
which really made things difficult cuz it's awful hard to live and work
there if yer a Canadian without a visa lol

the only advice I have is, don't get upset if the spark isn't there in
person once you meet..not saying it won't be, just that 8 out of 10
internet romances end at the first face to face meeting. I'm not trying
to discourage you tho, I have 2 couple friends that met online. One
couple met in the old BBS days before there was a world wide web and
have now been married 10 yeras, the other couple have been married 7
years now and she's from Canada and he's from the US..Just be very
careful cuz there is a lot of weirdos out there that can pass themselves
off as normal humans

I have not actually hooked up with someone I met online, but I do have a
friend who had recently went through a divorce and started chatting
online. He is now married to her.

I have met a lot of ladies on-line. The one I fell for ended up being
the greatest liar ever.

and as for the pictures... well take a wild guess. Not her.

So the search goes on. I still have hope.

Wow!! I got to tell you, I have not ever met anyone from online but,
after reading some of these stories I don't know if I want too...lol :-<
Kind of a bummer!! You know, its not that I get on here to find someone
but, the idea had cross my mind.I was thinking you know"wouldn't it be
cool if"? Or I wonder if? But man, I don't want to be punched in the
head! Or told one thing just to find out none of it was true.

There are plenty of women in my area that are single, its just gets so
old going to these same places around here metting the same people with
different faces..

I have to be honest, I don't know that I was looking for any one thing
on here but, in the back of my mind, I'm sure I had day dreamed, (if you
know what I mean).
For now, I choose to hang on to that dream,it kinda makes this whole
thing a little more fun!! Look whatever happens will happen and you
know, I believe the power of love can come out of nowhere even if it is
from that person I dont know, sitting who knows where, with a keyboard

JUST TAKE THIS STUFF WITH A GRAIN OF SALT.

I've met 3-4 men online thru personal ads. Only one turned into a
relationship (which lasted about 3 yrs). We haven't been a couple now
for a while, but still remain good friends. You have to be careful
especially if you start up a long distance thing. One guy I met ended
up married 5 times..and not divorced from any of them...and get
this...he was engaged to me and at least two other women that I found
out about. I was the only one who got an engagement ring. LOL
