THANKS!!! To all the soldiers who support our right to be free, and defend our country!! Dear Debbie {{{ <<<< nvrsaynvr >>>> }}} You are so sweet & kind...thank you i can always count on you dear Sister for love and prayers and moral support... i know that this thread has got to mean a lot to our beloved soldiers who formerly served and those who are serving in combat presently... I hope this brings them some love & peace & a little break from the brutal war that wages all around them... i hope they find some refuge & some sanctuary knowing that we take time out to pray for & to think of them and to put this little online scrap book of poems, stories & songs of love, encouragement & inspiration just for them ... Happy Valentine's Day .... a token of my love for all of you we love you ~ Our Soldiers i thank all of you who have posted here for your kind, colorful, heartfelt & loving entries |

You would think with all the visits to this site there would be a LOT more posts.... cmon people if you stop by to read add your support for our soldiers..... yes, dear lady....checkinout42 that has been my observation all the while... a whole lot of energy put into the other threads.... and people viewing , but not adding their support and love yet... if it wasn't for our steadfast soldiers protecting our land day and night and keeping the war elsewhere we would not have the freedoms to do even a slight portion of what people often take so for granted i wish people would seize the moment more and quit thinking only of themselves & their own little worlds and reach out more to others cause we are all so amazingly and intricately connected and when part of us is hurting and falls.... we all do |

American Soldier....By Toby Keith
I'm just trying to be a father, Raise a daughter and a son, Be a lover to their mother, Everything to everyone. Up and at 'em bright and early, I'm all in my business suit, Yeah, I'm dressed for success from my head down to my boots, I don't do it for money, there's still bills that I can't pay, I don't do it for the glory, I just do it anyway, Providing for our future's my responsibility, Yeah I'm real good under pressure, being all that I can be, And I can't call in sick on Mondays when the weekends been to strong, I just work straight through the holidays, And sometimes all night long. You can bet that I stand ready when the wolf growls at the door, Hey, I'm solid, hey I'm steady, hey I'm true down to the core, And I will always do my duty, no matter what the price, I've counted up the cost, I know the sacrafice, Oh, and I don't want to die for you, But if dyin's asked of me, I'll bear that cross with an honor, 'Cause freedom don't come free. I'm an american soldier, an american, Beside my brothers and my sisters I will proudly take a stand, When liberty's in jeopardy I will always do what's right, an American, An American, An American Soldier To my brother and all the other men and women in the military, Thank you for giving so much of yourselves to keep us safe and free..We love you all, and appreciate the sacrafices of you and your familes...Thank you |

Dear Lord, There's a young man far from home, called to serve his nation in time of war; sent to defend our freedom on some distant foreign shore. We pray You keep him safe, we pray You keep him strong, we pray You send him safely home ... for he's been away so long. There's a young woman far from home, serving her nation with pride. Her step is strong, her step is sure, there is courage in every stride. We pray You keep her safe, we pray You keep her strong, we pray You send her safely home ... for she's been away too long. |

Bless those who await their safe return. Bless those who mourn the lost. Bless those who serve this country well, no matter what the cost. God, Bless America! |

Soldiers' Angels was started by a self-described ordinary mother of an ordinary young man turned hero, Sgt. Brandon Varn. Brandon was deployed in Iraq and has since honorably completed his mission and has returned back to his proud and loving family. In the summer of 2003, he wrote home expressing his concern that some soldiers did not receive any mail or support from home. Being a caring and loving mother, she decided not to allow a situation like that to continue. She contacted a few friends and extended family to ask if they would write to a soldier or two. Within a few short months, Soldiers' Angels went from a mother writing a few extra letters to an Internet Community with thousands of angels worldwide. With more and more merchants donating services, money and items for packages, the Angels reorganized as a 501 c 3 non-profit so all donations would be tax deductible. Soldiers' Angels currently supports tens of thousands of American Service Members stationed wherever we raise our nation's flag, and that number continues to grow daily. Soldiers' Angels are dedicated in supporting our military during and after their deployment. In December of 2004 a worldwide support forum was created in the hopes of providing a place where the needs of our heroes could be fulfilled. Now this ordinary mother's youngest son, Bretton Varn, is serving his country in Iraq as he continues his family's legacy of bravery, honor and commitment. As with all of our brave men and women in the United States Armed Forces, our thoughts and prayers are with Brett and his family as he begins his tour in service to his nation. May God Bless Our Troops! Learn More Soldiers Angels has been supporting our nation's military men and women since 2003. Our mission is to provide aid and comfort to the military and its families, provide immediate response to hard situations, and make sure no soldier feels unloved. We start with letters, care pacakges, and comfort items to our deployed. We also help their families here at home as requested. Through special projects, dedicated teams and individuals supporting our troops we hope to make a difference in the lives of our soldiers. Find out how you can get involved! Learn more here. http://soldiersangels.org/ |

Lord God...
I pray for the souls of the soldiers who have so gallantly given their young and precious lives i just am staggered by the death count in 2008 alone... I also lift up the families of those who lost their loved ones.. Parents who have lost their children , left with a stinging, gnawing, irrepressible pain that will last them the rest of their lives wives without a husband, husbands without their wives... and some children who will NEVER here on earth get to see or know their father or their mother ... and those who will NEVER see their Mom or Dad walk thru that door to their home again... Lord, please bring an end to this horrible war soon |
